Joaquim Santos
Joaquim Coelho da Rocha Santos (9 June 1952 – 18 March 2024) was a Portuguese rally driver. Biography Born in Penafiel on 9 June 1952, Santos raced from the 1970s to the 1990s. He began his career at city circuits, winning the Austin Mini trophy in a Ford Fiesta 1300. He also did rallycross with his brother, Fernando, taking part in truck races in Lousada and winning the Toyota Starlet trophy. He also raced in a BMW, a Datsun, and an Opel Kadett. In 1986, his accident in a Ford RS200 in Sintra resulted in the deaths of three spectators. Opel Kadett
The Opel Kadett is a small family car produced by the German automobile manufacturer Opel from 1936 until 1940 and then from 1962 until 1991 (the Cabrio continued until 1993), when it was succeeded by the Opel Astra. SIC Notícias () is the cable news channel of the Portuguese television network SIC (''Sociedade Independente de Comunicação'') and the second thematic channel of the station. It is available on basic cable and satellite. It replaced CNL (''Canal de Notícias de Lisboa''), a Lisbon region independent cable news channel owned by TV Cabo, on January 8, 2001. Since the end of 2003, SIC Notícias has also been available in Angola and Mozambique via satellite or cable. Joaquim Moutinho
Joaquim Moutinho da Silva Santos (14 December 1951 – 22 November 2019) was a Portuguese rally driver, who in 1986 won the Rally de Portugal, a round of the World Rally Championship. Moutinho, who was born in Porto, was also a champion in the Portuguese Touring Car Championship and Portuguese Rally Championship. Career Moutinho participated mainly in the Portuguese Rally Championship, which he won in 1985 and 1986 in a Renault 5 Turbo. He took part in the Rally de Portugal nine times between 1973 and 1986. He finished ninth in 1981 in an Opel Kadett GT/E. Moutinho won the 1986 event following the accident of compatriot Joaquim Santos that killed three spectators. All of the factory teams withdrew from the event, allowing Moutinho to win the rally. It would be his final WRC event. The Ford RS200 is a mid-engined, all-wheel-drive sports car that was produced by Ford Motorsport in Boreham, UK, from 1984 to 1986. The road-going RS200 was the basis for Ford's Group B rally car and was designed to comply with FIA homologation regulations, which required 200 parts kits to be produced and at least one road-legal car to be assembled. Datsun
Datsun (, ) was a Japanese automobile manufacturer brand owned by Nissan. Datsun's original production run began in 1931. Lousada () is a town and municipality of the Porto district, in northern Portugal. The population in 2011 was 47,387, in an area of 96.08 km².
