Bergen (, ) is a city and municipalities of Norway, municipality in Vestland county on the Western Norway, west coast of Norway. Storfolk og småfolk (Important People and Common People) is a Norwegian black-and-white comedy film from 1951 directed by Tancred Ibsen. Ibsen also write the script for the film. The film is based on five stories by Hans Aanrud and the action is set in rural Norway. It follows both high and low society, including village characters, wealthy individuals, farmers, and "old timers." The film was quite well received. ''To mistenkelige personer'' (Two Suspects) is a Norwegian crime drama from 1950 directed by Tancred Ibsen. The film is about the murder of two sheriffs in Norway and the subsequent hunt for the criminals. The script is based on Gunnar Larsen's 1933 novel of the same name. The novel is loosely based on a real incident that happened in Ådal in 1926. The film was banned from being shown in Norway for reasons of privacy. The verdict was upheld until the end of the 1990s. Background The film adaptation of the book is based on the true story of the sheriffs' murders at Vågård, an event that took place at Vågård in Ytre Ådal on August 22, 1926, when two sheriffs from Ringerike tried to arrest two safe blowers and robbers. ''Trollfossen'' is a Norwegian film from 1948. It was directed by Alf Scott-Hansen and featured Ola Isene and Wenche Foss in the lead roles. The film tells the story of the skilled pianist Sylvia Strøm (Wenche Foss), who is forced by her husband, the unscrupulous hydropower developer Director Strøm (Ola Isene), to sacrifice music for electrification. She falls in love with the dam guard Engineer Borg (Knut Wigert), but then the workers begin to sabotage the construction work so that foreign interests can gain control of the waterfall. Under anesthesia, the man reveals that he is in a relationship with the doctor's wife. After the operation, complications arise, the man dies, and the doctor is convinced that he is the one that killed the man. In order to rid himself of the obsession, the hospital decides that he should do a similar operation and succeed with it.
