Jimmy Spire Ssentongo
Jimmy Spire Ssentongo (born 14 August 1979) is a Ugandan academic, columnist, editorial cartoonist, author, and anti-corruption activist. He is an associate professor of Ethics and Identity Studies at Uganda Martyrs University and also teaches Ethics and Research Methods at Makerere University. Ssentongo is known for his editorial cartoons in The Observer newspaper and for spearheading a series of high-impact online campaigns using social media to expose alleged corruption and maladministration in Ugandan public institutions. Masaka District is a Districts of Uganda, district in Buganda, Buganda Kingdom in Uganda. Its main town is Masaka City, whose estimated population in 2011 was 74,100. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa (born 15 September 1944) is a Ugandan politician and Officer (armed forces), military officer who is the ninth and current president of Uganda since 1986. Janzi Band, sometimes simply Janzi, is a Ugandan afro-fusion, contemporary and world music group formed on 27 August 2009 by Ssewa Ssewa and friends Abraham Sekasi, Jackson Kirya and Steven Oundo. The band has a hybrid repertoire of music, including notable covers as well as an original ethno-pop discography. The band has worked alongside a number of Ugandan musicians, including Lilian Mbabazi and A Pass. They are known for the creation of a new Ugandan harp-like instrument, the Janzi. Agather Atuhaire (born c. 1988) is a Ugandan lawyer, journalist, and human rights activist known for her investigative work on corruption and maladministration in public institutions.
