History Pivotal Games was founded in March 2000, by fifteen employees formerly of Pumpkin Studios (the developer of ''Warzone 2100''), led by Jim Bambra, Nick Cook and Alex McLean. ''Gunship'' is a combat flight simulation video game developed and published by MicroProse in 1986. In the game, controlling a simulated AH-64 Apache helicopter, players navigate through missions to attack enemy targets and protect friendly forces. Commercially and critically successful, ''Gunship'' was followed by '' Gunship 2000'' and '' Gunship!''. Gameplay The game features missions in five regions, including the U.S. (training), Southeast Asia (1st Air Cavalry Division), Central America (82nd Airborne Division), Middle East (101st Airborne Division) and Western Europe ( 3rd Armored Division). ''Special Forces'' is a video game developed by Sleepless Knights and published by MicroProse in 1992 for the Amiga, Atari ST and PC DOS. In the game, a team of special operatives are to infiltrate enemy territory to complete various objectives. It is a sequel to '' Airborne Ranger''. Gameplay ''Special Forces'' lets the player select a team of four from a squad of eight operatives. Once a mission is selected in one of the four regions (temperate zone, arctic, desert and jungle - daytime and nighttime variants) the player is briefed. Objectives range from hostage rescues, destroy specific objects, reconnaissance missions. The game displays a top-down view of a part of the mission area in various configurations (one viewport per soldier up to four views at the same time in split-screen mode). Puffin Books is a longstanding children's imprint of the British publishers Penguin Books. Since the 1960s, it has been among the largest publishers of children's books in the UK and much of the English-speaking world. The imprint now belongs to Penguin Random House, a subsidiary of the German media conglomerate Bertelsmann.
