Jianghan District
Jianghan District (, Yangtze and Han River (Hubei and Shaanxi), Han River) forms part of the urban core of and is one of 13 urban District (China), districts of the prefecture-level city of Wuhan, the capital of Hubei, Hubei Province, China. The district is part of the historical Hankou. Geography Jianghan District is situated on the northwest (left) bank of the Yangtze River. It is both the least spacious and most densely populated of the districts of Wuhan. It borders Dongxihu to the north, Jiang'an District, Jiang'an to the northeast, Hanyang District, Hanyang to the south, and Qiaokou to the west; on the opposite bank it borders Wuchang District, Wuchang. The term ''district'', in the context of China, is used to refer to several unrelated political divisions in both ancient and modern China. In the modern context, district ( zh, s=区, labels=no), formally city-governed district, city-controlled district, or municipal district ( zh, s=市辖区, links=no, labels=no), are subdivisions of a Direct-administered municipality, municipality or a prefecture-level city. The rank of a district derives from the rank of its city. Qiaokou
Qiaokou District ( zh, s=, t=, p=Qiáokǒu Qū) forms part of the urban core of and is one of 13 urban districts of the prefecture-level city of Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province, China, situated on the northern (left) bank of the Han River. Along with Dongxihu, it is the only district of Wuhan to not have any shoreline along the Yangtze River, and it borders Dongxihu to the north, Jianghan to the east, and Hanyang to the south across the Han River. 'Qiaokou' is used as an example of the usage of the rarely used character / in the Contemporary Chinese Dictionary. The Three Principles of the People (), also known as the Three People's Principles, San-min Doctrine, San Min Chu-i, or Tridemism is a political philosophy developed by Sun Yat-sen as part of a philosophy to improve China during the Republican Era. A subdistrict ( zh, c= / , p=jiēdào / jiē, l=streets and avenues / streets) is one of the smaller administrative divisions of China, administrative divisions of China. It is a form of townships of China, township-level division which is typically part of a larger urban area, as opposed to a discrete towns of China, town (zhèn, 镇) surrounded by rural areas, or a rural townships of China, township (xiāng, 乡). Simplified Chinese characters are one of two standardized Chinese characters, character sets widely used to write the Chinese language, with the other being traditional characters.
