Tracy Quint is an American politician from Hodgdon, Maine. She is currently serving in the Maine House of Representatives from the 8th district, having first been elected in 2020 from the Republican Party (United States), Republican Party. Career Quint is a registered nurse. In September 2020, incumbent Representative Gregory Swallow withdrew from the race for the Maine House of Representatives seat from the 144th district after winning the Republican Party (United States), Republican primary unopposed. Tracy Quint announced that she would seek the seat instead in early October, running as a Republican. Her platform emphasized combatting obesity, support for small businesses, and support for the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution, Second Amendment. Lebanon, Maine
Lebanon is a town in York County, Maine, United States. The population was 6,469 at the 2020 census. Lebanon includes the villages of Center Lebanon, West Lebanon, North Lebanon, South Lebanon, and East Lebanon. It is the westernmost town in Maine. Lebanon is part of the Portland– South Portland–Biddeford, Maine metropolitan statistical area. History It was called Towwoh by the Newichawannock Abenaki tribe, whose main village was further down the Salmon Falls River. On April 20, 1733, the Massachusetts General Court granted Towwoh Plantation to 60 colonists, who first settled it in 1743. The Maine House of Representatives is the lower house of the Maine Legislature. The House consists of 151 voting members and three nonvoting members. The voting members represent an equal number of districts across the state and are elected via plurality voting. The nonvoting members represent three of Maine's Native American tribes, though two tribes have declined to send representatives. Each voting member of the House represents around 9,000 citizens of the state. Because it is a part-time position, members of the Maine House of Representatives usually have outside employment as well. The 2022 Maine House of Representatives elections took place on November 8, 2022, alongside the biennial 2022 United States elections, United States elections.
