Tracy Quint is an American politician from Hodgdon, Maine. She is currently serving in the Maine House of Representatives from the 8th district, having first been elected in 2020 from the Republican Party (United States), Republican Party. Career Quint is a registered nurse. In September 2020, incumbent Representative Gregory Swallow withdrew from the race for the Maine House of Representatives seat from the 144th district after winning the Republican Party (United States), Republican primary unopposed. Tracy Quint announced that she would seek the seat instead in early October, running as a Republican. Her platform emphasized combatting obesity, support for small businesses, and support for the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution, Second Amendment. Quint won the election, defeating Democratic Party (United States), Democrat Kathryn Harnish with 68 percent of the vote. Hodgdon is a rural town in Aroostook County, Maine, Aroostook County, Maine, United States. The town borders the province of New Brunswick, Canada to the east and Houlton, Maine, Houlton to the north. Hodgdon's population was 1,290 at the 2020 United States census, 2020 census. The Maine House of Representatives is the lower house of the Maine Legislature. The House consists of 151 voting members and three nonvoting members. The voting members represent an equal number of districts across the state and are elected via plurality voting.
