Jeff Woodland
Jeff Woodland (born 28 February 1957) is an Australian professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour and PGA Tour of Australasia. Professional career Woodland joined the Ben Hogan Tour in 1991 and had a very successful rookie year, winning the Ben Hogan Dakota Dunes Open while recording nine top-10 finishes. The following year he won two tournaments, the Ben Hogan Wichita Charity Classic and the Ben Hogan Utah Classic while recording nine top-10 finishes en route to a 6th-place finishes on the money list, good enough to earn his PGA Tour card. He struggled in his rookie year on Tour but retained his card through qualifying school. He recorded his best finish on the PGA Tour in 1994 at the GTE Byron Nelson Golf Classic when he finished in a tie for eighth. He split time between the PGA and Nationwide Tour in 1995. Bob May (golfer)
Robert Anthony May (born October 6, 1968) is an American professional golfer. He lost to Tiger Woods in a three-hole playoff for the 2000 PGA Championship at Valhalla. Early life and amateur career May was born on October 6, 1968. He attended Los Altos High School in Hacienda Heights, California, and was featured in the Faces in the Crowd section in ''Sports Illustrated'' at age sixteen in 1984. He played college golf at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, and was a member of the American Walker Cup team in 1991 before turning professional later that year. The Open Championship
The Open Championship, often referred to as The Open or the British Open, is the oldest golf tournament in the world, and one of the most prestigious. Founded in 1860, it was originally held annually at Prestwick Golf Club in Scotland. Later the venue rotated between a select group of coastal links golf courses in the United Kingdom. Peter Senior
Peter Albert Charles Senior (born 31 July 1959) is an Australian professional golfer who has won more than twenty tournaments around the world. Senior has competed mainly on the PGA Tour of Australasia, where he has had the most success and won the Order of Merit on four occasions, and the European Tour. He has also played occasionally on the Japan Golf Tour and the United States-based PGA Tour. Senior has represented Australia in international competitions several times, and was a member of the International Team at the first two stagings of the Presidents Cup. Queensland PGA Championship
The Queensland PGA Championship is a golf tournament on the PGA Tour of Australasia. The tournament is currently held at Nudgee Golf Club in Nudgee. History The event was founded as the Queensland Professional Championship in 1926. The inaugural championship was played at Brisbane Golf Club in late November with 12 professionals competing. There was a 36-hole stroke-play stage with the leading 4 qualifying for the match-play. The 36-hole semi-finals were played the following day with the 36-hole final on the third day. Arthur Spence, the Royal Queensland professional, beat Jack Quarton, the Toowoomba professional, in the final. In 1927 the number of qualifiers was increased to 8, with the quarter and semi-finals played over 18 holes on the second day. Mike Colandro
Michael Violette Colandro (May 27, 1953 – August 9, 2015) was an American professional golfer. Colandro played briefly on the PGA Tour in 1979 and 1980 but did not have much success. In 1981, he started to play on the PGA Tour of Australia. Despite multiple personal tragedies, a rancorous relationship with rules officials, and a precarious exemption status he was able to play 16 consecutive seasons on the Australian tour, culminating with his only official tour victory, the 1987 Air New Zealand Shell Open. In 1995, he largely retired as a touring professional. He still worked in the golf industry, however, as a swing instructor, creator of golf-related DVDs-CDs, and charity fundraiser, while also working on a self-published autobiography, ''Almost an Aussie''.
