Javonte Douglas
Javonte Edwin Douglas (born November 28, 1992) is an American professional basketball player for Uralmash Yekaterinburg of the Russian Super League 1. He played four years of college basketball at four different colleges before playing professionally in Paraguay, Cyprus, New Zealand, the Czech Republic, and Russia. Early life Douglas was born in Charlotte, North Carolina. He attended Kennedy Charter High School in Charlotte, graduating in the spring of 2012 and averaging 17.4 points per game during his senior season. College career As a freshman at Hill College in 2012–13, Douglas averaged 16.3 points and 6.5 rebounds per game and earned honorable mention Junior College All-American honors, first-team All-Region, and was the Conference MVP. Uralmash Yekaterinburg is a Russian professional basketball team that plays in the VTB United League. They won Russian Basketball Super League 1 championships in 2022 and 2023. The 2015 National Invitation Tournament was a single-elimination tournament of 32 NCAA Division I teams that were not selected to participate in the 2015 NCAA tournament. The annual tournament is being played on campus sites for the first three rounds, with the Final Four and championship game being held at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The tournament began on Tuesday, March 17 and ended on Thursday, April 2. The 2018 NBL season was the 37th season of the National Basketball League. In 2018, the league welcomed back the Manawatu Jets after a two-season hiatus. The regular season commenced on Thursday 26 April in Napier with the Hawke's Bay Hawks hosting the Southland Sharks at Pettigrew Green Arena.
