Jatrabari Police Station is a police precinct under the jurisdiction of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police located in the southern part of Dhaka, Bangladesh. It serves the densely populated areas around Jatrabari and is responsible for maintaining law and order, crime prevention, and traffic management within its territory. The station was heavily damaged in attacks following the fall of the Sheikh Hasina led Awami League government. History Jatrabari Police Station was established as part of the expansion of Dhaka Metropolitan Police to ensure better law enforcement coverage in the southern parts of the city. Mohammad Tazul Islam (born 30 June 1955) is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and a former member of Jatiya Sangsad representing the Comilla-9 constituency. In January 2024, he is a former Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, succeeding the 2019 election where he held the same position. Shakil Ahmed is a Bangladeshi journalist and former head of news at Ekattor TV, a private television channel in Bangladesh. Kamal Ahmed Majumder (born 3 March 1950) is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and a former Jatiya Sangsad member representing the Dhaka-15 since its inception in 2009 until 2024.
