Roadburn Festival
The Roadburn Festival is an annual music festival held each April in Tilburg, Netherlands. It was founded by Walter Hoeijmakers and Jurgen van den Brand in 1999, who ran a stoner rock blog of the same name. The festival has been held at Tilburg's 013 concert hall since 2005. In the earliest years before that, multiple events were organised in a year throughout various cities in the Netherlands, such as Nijmegen and Eindhoven. It evolved into a multi-day event beginning in 2006, and shortly after, tickets began to sell out for the festival in under an hour as its audience grew internationally. The festival estimates that around 75% of its attendees come from outside the Netherlands. The festival has grown since its stoner rock origins and is now focused on various forms of experimental and extreme music: its motto in recent years has been "redefining heaviness." Van den Brand, who runs affiliated record labels Burning World Records and Roadburn Records, parted ways with the fest ...

Mudrian had previously written in a number of magazines published by the Philadelphia-based Red Flag Media, who he joined in 1997, and felt that there was "a market in the United States for a metal magazine that covered extreme music the way that magazines like '' Spin'' used to cover pop music and culture". He brainstormed some ideas for the magazine, i ...

The album is notable for incorporating elements of folk music while furthering the heaviness that was emphasized on Neurosis' previous album, '' Given to the Rising''. ''Honor Found in Decay'' was lauded by Sputnikmusic for being "as challenging and engrossing a record as they have ever produced and an incredible celebration of the band's legendary career". Guitarist and vocalist Steve Von Till cautioned that "if you're going put our record on, it's not going to be a party". Background Considering the title of the album, Steve Von Till conceded that the band members cannot agree on its precise meaning, but "one thing that really resonates with me is that decay is the natural state of all things over time...When shit's falling apart, that is when you see the people who have honor and will stand by what they said, or those that are self-serving or dishonorable and s ...
