Jason Reeves (radio Broadcaster)
Jason Reeves (born May 1976, Hastings) is a radio broadcaster and television presenter from New Zealand. He currently co-hosts the breakfast show on Coast. He has previously worked for other stations such as Auckland's Classic Hits 97.4, The Edge and for ZM . Career Reeves began his radio career in 1994 at the age of 18 after leaving Karamu High School, and worked on Hot 93FM in Hawkes Bay. He remained there until 1996, when he moved to another Hawkes Bay Station, Xtreme 100. In 1997, he moved to Hamilton to work on the then local station, The Edge, originally on the drive time show, but moved to the breakfast show with Jay-Jay Feeney in 1998. Reeves worked at The Edge as it progressed from a local Hamilton station to a nationwide network station based in Auckland, which happened in late 2001. Hastings, New Zealand
Hastings (; mi, Heretaunga) is an inland city of New Zealand and is one of the two major urban areas in Hawke's Bay, on the east coast of the North Island. The population of Hastings (including Flaxmere) is (as of with a further people in Havelock North and in Clive. Hastings is about 18 kilometres inland of the coastal city of Napier. These two neighbouring cities are often called "The Bay Cities" or "The Twin Cities". The city is the administrative centre of the Hastings District. ''New Zealand Idol'', also known as ''NZ Idol'', was the New Zealand version of the Idol series originated as the hit British TV series ''Pop Idol''. New Zealand first saw the ''Idol'' format when TV2 aired '' American Idol 2'', which garnered impressive ratings. After ''Australian Idol'' also received good ratings in New Zealand, TVNZ decided to order the first season of ''NZ Idol'', which was broadcast on TV2. Prime Television New Zealand
Prime is a New Zealand free-to-air television network. It airs a varied mix of programming, largely imported from Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States. It was originally owned by Prime Television Limited in Australia. Prime later entered into a joint-venture agreement with Nine Entertainment Co. (Nine Network Australia), causing the network's graphics to look like Nine Network. On 8 February 2006, the Commerce Commission gave Sky clearance to purchase the station for NZ$31 million. Prime's analogue terrestrial signals had covered 91% of the population via the state-owned Kordia transmission network. New Zealand's Got Talent
''New Zealand's Got Talent'' was a New Zealand reality television show which premiered in 2008. The show was based on the ''Got Talent'' series. The show featured singers, dancers, magicians, comedians and other variety performers of all ages competing for a top prize of $100,000 cash and a Toyota RAV4 car. Three judges appear on the show each week to provide feedback for the contestants. The show originally screened on Prime for one series before being dropped. TV One later revived the show, with series produced in 2012 and 2013. The original line-up on Prime included Andrew Mulligan and Jason Reeves as hosts, with Miriama Smith, Paul Ellis and Richard Driver as judges. Magic is a New Zealand oldies radio network owned by MediaWorks New Zealand. The network targets New Zealand's growing population of baby boomers with a line-up of veteran broadcasters. Its breakfast show, Magic Breakfast (formerly Magic in the Morning), is hosted by long-time radio personality, Mark Bunting. The station targets 50- to 69-year-olds, an older demographic than similar MediaWorks brands. It is run alongside The Breeze with a similar playlist, but The Breeze has a younger female skew and easy listening music focus.
