Jason Cram (born 21 July 1982) is an Australian freestyle swimmer. Career Cram first competed for Australia at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester where he finished 6th in the 200 metre freestyle in 1:50.30 and with Grant Hackett, Leon Dunne and Ian Thorpe won gold in the 4 × 200 metre freestyle relay in new Games record time of 7:11.69. At the 2002 Pan Pacific Championships in Yokohama, Japan, Cram finished 12th in the 200 metre freestyle in 1:50.93, equal 24th in the 100 metre freestyle in 51.38 and with Hackett, Thorpe and Craig Stevens won gold in the 4 × 200 metre freestyle relay in 7:09.00. At the 2003 Duel in the Pool between United States and Australia in Indianapolis, Cram finished 5th in the 100 metre freestyle in 50.29 and with Casey Flouch, Antony Matkovich and Adam Pine finished behind the United States in the 4 × 100 metre freestyle relay in 3:18.62. Ian Thorpe
Ian James Thorpe, (born 13 October 1982) is an Australian retired swimmer who specialised in freestyle, but also competed in backstroke and the individual medley. He has won five Olympic gold medals, the most won by any Australian along with fellow swimmer Emma McKeon. With three gold and two silver medals, Thorpe was the most successful athlete at the 2000 Summer Olympics, held in his hometown of Sydney. Antony Matkovich
Antony Matkovich (born 12 June 1977) is an Australian swimmer who won a silver medal in the 4x200-metre freestyle relay at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Coming from Perth, Western Australia, Matkovich became a scholarship holder at the Australian Institute of Sport in 2000. He had previously been a member of Australia's water polo team. He made his international debut in 2001 at the 2001 World Championships in Fukuoka, Japan where he collected a gold medal by swimming in the heats of the 4×200-metre freestyle relay. Australia proceeded to break its own world record in the final. 2003 Mutual Of Omaha Duel In The Pool
The inaugural edition of the Mutual of Omaha Duel in the Pool took place on April 6, 2003, at the Indiana University Natatorium on the campus of IUPUI in Indianapolis. The event pitted the United States' top swimmers against those of Australia. The event featured 26 races — four relay events and 22 individual races — in an Olympic-sized pool. There were 270 total points up for grabs in the event, with the U.S. smashing Australia in the end 196-74. Craig Stevens (swimmer)
Craig Julian Stevens (born 23 July 1980) is an Australian former freestyle swimmer specialising in the 400m, 800m and 1500m freestyle events. He was an Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder. Stevens was the bronze medallist in the 1500m freestyle event at the 2002 Commonwealth Games, but he narrowly missed out on a medal in the 400m freestyle, finishing 4th. In 2004, Stevens made his Olympic Games debut at Athens. There, he won silver as part of the Australian 4×200m relay team and also made the final in the 1500m. He relinquished his place in the 400m freestyle for world record holder Ian Thorpe, who had been disqualified from the event at the Australian trials. Stevens was initially left out of the Australian team for the 2006 Commonwealth Games in his home country.
