Jamie Dukes
Jamie Donnell Dukes (born June 14, 1964) is an American former professional football player who was a center for 10 seasons for the Atlanta Falcons, Green Bay Packers, and Arizona Cardinals, of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Florida State Seminoles, earning consensus All-American honors in 1985. Early life Dukes was born in Schenectady, New York. He attended Evans High School in Orlando, Florida. College career Dukes was an offensive guard at Florida State and became the fifth player in FSU history to earn consensus All-America honors when he was named to virtually every team as a senior in 1985. Center (American Football)
Center or centre (C) is a position in American football. The center is the innermost Lineman (American football), lineman of the offensive line on a football team's Offense (sports), offense who passes (or "Snap (gridiron football), snaps") the ball between his legs to the quarterback at the start of each Play from scrimmage, play. During the period of the one-platoon system, centers frequently played defensively as "middle guards", off the opposing center on the opposite side of the line as with a modern nose tackle. Fumble
A fumble in gridiron football occurs when a player who has possession and control of the ball loses it before being downed (tackled), scoring, or going out of bounds. By rule, it is any act other than passing, kicking, punting, or successful handing that results in loss of ball possession by a player. Unlike other events which cause the ball to become loose, such as an incomplete pass, a fumbled ball is considered a live ball, and may be recovered and advanced by any member of either team. 2008 NFL Draft
The 2008 NFL draft was the 73rd NFL draft, annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible American football players. The draft took place at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, New York (state), New York, on April 26 and April 27, 2008. For the 29th consecutive year, ESPN televised the draft; the NFL Network also broadcast the event, its third year doing so. Gregory Thomas Waddle (born February 20, 1967) is an American former professional American football, football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL).
