Jainandan Prasad Yadav
Jainandan Prasad Yadav is an Indian politician and social worker. He served as a member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly, representing the Sursand constituency in Sitamarhi district, Bihar. He held this position from 2000 to 2010. He is the son of late Veteran Socialist leader, Former Member of Bihar Legislative Assembly and Freedom Fighter, Ramcharitrarai Yadav. Sitamarhi District
Sitamarhi is one of the districts in the Indian state of Bihar. Dumra is the administrative headquarters of this district. The district is a part of the Tirhut Division and is located along the border of Nepal. It is the part of the Mithila region in the Indian subcontinent. It is believed to be the place of manifestation of Goddess Sita in the ancient Mithila Kingdom while the legendary King Janaka in the epic Ramayana was ploughing a farm field in the present city of Sitamarhi. Presently in the city of Sitamarhi, there are two locations claimed to be the birthplace of the Goddess Sita. The two locations are Urvija Kund at Janaki Sthan and Janaki Kund at Punauradham. Ram Charitra Rai Yadav
Ram Charitra Rai Yadav was an Indian politician, activist, social worker, and freedom fighter. He was a member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly, representing the Sursand Assembly constituency, Sursand constituency in Sitamarhi district, Bihar. He held this position from 1952 to 1957, during India's first general election, i.e., 1951–52 Indian general election after India gaining independence, and again from 1969 to 1980. He was a veteran socialist leader and one of the prominent figures in Bihar politics during his era. He became a martyr on August 11, 1998, sacrificing his life in a firing incident at Sitamarhi collectorate while advocating for the rights of the poor and protesting against neglect in providing relief during a movement demanding adequate relief for flood-affected survivors, as this tragic event affected several parts of North Bihar. Shahid Ali Khan (politician)
Shahid Ali Khan was an Indian politician in Bihar. Khan won election in 1990 from Janata Dal to represent Sitamarhi. At that time he was the youngest member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly. He was again elected to represent Sitamarhi in 2000 over the RJD ticket, to represent Pupri in February 2005 and October 2005 over the JD(U) ticket and Sursand in 2010, again over the JD(U) ticket. In 2014 he was a candidate for Lok Sabha from Sheohar from the Janata Dal (United) ticket but lost. Khan was chairman of the Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority from 1990 to 1995. October 2005 Bihar Legislative Assembly Election
Bihar Assembly elections were held twice in the year 2005. There was a fractured verdict in the ''February 2005 Assembly Election''. Since no government could be formed in Bihar, fresh elections were held in ''October–November'' the same year.
