''Jadoo Teri Nazar'' is a Marathi play directed by Mangesh Kadam and written by Ratnakar Matkari. The star cast includes Prashant Damle, Manisha Joshi, Shalaka Pawar, Satish Tare. The play is a romantic comedy musical. Synopsis An eye specialist Dr. Pundalik usually counsels his students along with the assistance of Prakash. He is a bachelor who shares a bittersweet relationship with his friend Dr. Purva who happens to be his competition next to his clinic. One day, someone sells Dr. Pundalik a potion which if used as an eye drop will fall in love with the first person he sets his sight on. Hence begins a hilarious ride of musical journey. Ratnakar Matkari
Ratnakar Ramkrushna Matkari (17 November 1938 – 17 May 2020) was a Marathi writer, a movie and play producer/director, and a self-taught artist from Maharashtra, India. Life Matkari was born on 17 November 1938 in Mumbai. After earning a degree in economics from Mumbai University in 1958, he worked at the Bank of India for the next twenty years. Since 1978, he devoted his time exclusively to writing & production/direction of movies and plays. He was married to artist Pratibha Matkari. He died on 17 May 2020 in Mumbai, having tested positive for COVID-19 the week before during the COVID-19 pandemic in India. Literary career Matkari's first work, the one-act play ''Wedi Manase'' (वेडी माणसे), was presented in 1955 on All India Radio in Mumbai. Prashant Damle (born 5 April 1961) is an Indian actor and comedian who has acted in numerous Marathi dramas, films and soap operas for over 35 years. He has been associated with Marathi theatre since 1983 and till date has performed in 27 different plays and a variety of roles and is a widely recognized star of Marathi theatre. In the journey of 35 years of performing arts, he has been honored with many prestigious awards. He has 5 Limca Book of Records in his name. Sudhir Bhat'' was an Indian Marathi theatre, Marathi play producer. He was the founder member of the famous Theatre group "Suyog". Ashok Patki (born 25 August 1941) is an Indian music director and composer; working predominantly in Marathi cinema, theatre and television. He is best known for his very popular compositions like " Mile Sur Mera Tumhara", "Purab Se Surya Uga". Patki has also composed over 5000 jingles and has been awarded with Indian National Film Award for Best Music Direction at 54th National Film Awards in 2006 for a Konkani film, ''Antarnaad''.
