Jad Smaira
Jad Victor Karim Smaira (; born 9 November 2003) is a footballer who plays as a centre-back for Cypriot club Achyronas-Onisilos. Born in Switzerland, he plays for the Lebanon national team. Early life Smaira was born in Zug, Switzerland, to parents Karim and Johanna. He has two younger brothers, Nadim and Rayan. During his childhood, he relocated to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, due to his father's work. Smaira attended the Lycée Libanais Francophone Privé in Dubai. Club career Smaira began his football career at Dubai City, where he won the Dubai Super Cup trophy. In 2021, he joined the Holy Cross Crusaders, the soccer team of the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. During his three seasons at the club, he made 25 appearances in the Patriot League conference of the NCAA Division I, starting in 23 matches. Cypriot Second Division
The Cypriot Second Division () is the second highest association football, football division of the Cypriot football league system. Administered by the Cyprus Football Association, it is contested by 16 teams, with the top three teams being Promotion and relegation, promoted to the Cypriot First Division and the last three teams being Promotion and relegation, relegated to the Cypriot Third Division. 2024–25 Cypriot Second Division
The 2024–25 Cypriot Second Division is the 70th season of the Cypriot second-level football league. The campaign started on 13 September 2024 and is scheduled to conclude in April 2025. Teams The league consisted of sixteen teams; ten teams remaining from the previous season, three teams promoted from the Cypriot Third Division, and three teams relegated from the Cypriot First Division. The 2024–25 Super League 2 was the sixth season of the Super League 2, the second-tier Greek professional league for association football clubs, since the restructuring of the Greek football league system. The championship was held with the participation of 20 teams, four fewer than the previous season, which were divided into two groups. Lebanese nationality law governs the acquisition, transmission and loss of Lebanese citizenship. Lebanese citizenship is the status of being a citizen of Lebanon and it can be obtained by birth or naturalization. Lebanese nationality is transmitted paternally (via father) (see Jus sanguinis).
