2024–25 Cypriot Second Division
The 2024–25 Cypriot Second Division is the 70th season of the Cypriot second-level football league. The campaign started on 13 September 2024 and is scheduled to conclude in April 2025. Teams The league consisted of sixteen teams; ten teams remaining from the previous season, three teams promoted from the Cypriot Third Division, and three teams relegated from the Cypriot First Division. The three teams promoted from the Third Division were Chalkanoras Idaliou, Anagennisi Deryneia and Spartakos Kitiou (replacing the three relegated Second Division teams of ENAD Polis Chrysochous, Ermis Aradippou and Podosfairikos Omilos Xylotymbou 2006). The three teams relegated from the First Division were Doxa Katokopias, Othellos Athienou, and AEZ Zakakiou (replacing the three promoted Second Division teams of Omonia Aradippou, PAC Omonia 29M, and Enosis Neon Paralimni). Cypriot Second Division
The Cypriot Second Division () is the second highest association football, football division of the Cypriot football league system. Administered by the Cyprus Football Association, it is contested by 16 teams, with the top three teams being Promotion and relegation, promoted to the Cypriot First Division and the last three teams being Promotion and relegation, relegated to the Cypriot Third Division. History The Cypriot Second Division started unofficially the 1934–35 football season as the second level of the Cypriot football (Cyprus Football Association founded in 1934). The competition consisted of teams that didn't participate in Cypriot First Division and the reserve teams of the Cypriot First Division clubs. POX FC () is a Cypriot football club based in the village of Xylotymbou. The club was formed in 2006 after a merger of two Xylotymbou clubs, Kimonas Xylotympou and Omonia Xylotymbou. The club won their first professional title in 2017, by winning the Cypriot Third Division. The team did not register itself for any league from 2024/25 and now it does not exist anymore. ASIL Lysi () is a Cypriot football club which was established in the town of Lysi, Famagusta. After the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974, ASIL became a refugee team and is temporarily based in Larnaca. The club plays in the . History The club was founded in Lysi, Famagusta on June 26, 1932.
