Jackson Thomas Stephens Sr (August 9, 1923 – July 23, 2005) was an American oilman and investment banker. He was the CEO of Little Rock, Arkansas-based Stephens Inc., a privately owned financial services company. Arkansas Aviation Historical Society is a non-profit organization promoting aviation. It created the Arkansas Aviation Hall of Fame in 1980, and recently created college scholarships in hopes of encouraging young people to pursue aviation careers. George Dickey (baseball)
George Willard Dickey keets(July 10, 1915 – June 16, 1976) was an American professional baseball backup catcher in Major League Baseball who played for two different teams between 1935 and 1947. Listed at , 180 lb., Dickey was a switch-hitter and threw right-handed. He was the younger brother of Hall of Famer Bill Dickey. A native of Kensett, Arkansas, Dickey entered the majors in 1935 with the Boston Red Sox, playing for them until 1936 before joining the Chicago White Sox (1941–42, 1946–47). He was one of many major leaguers who saw his baseball career interrupted when he joined the US Navy during World War II (1943–45). His most productive season came with the 1947 White Sox, when he appeared in a career-high 83 games while hitting .223 with one home run, six doubles, and 27 runs batted in. Bill Dickey
William Malcolm Dickey (June 6, 1907 – November 12, 1993) was an American professional baseball catcher and manager. He played in Major League Baseball with the New York Yankees for 17 seasons. Dickey managed the Yankees as a player-manager in 1946 in his last season as a player. Dickey played with the Yankees from 1928 through 1943. After serving in the United States Navy during World War II, Dickey returned to the Yankees in 1946 as a player and manager. He retired after the 1946 season, but returned in 1949 as a coach, in which capacity he taught Yogi Berra the finer points of catching. During Dickey's playing career, the Yankees went to the World Series nine times, winning eight championships. He was named to 11 All-Star Games.
