He was the 39th Premier of South Australia, leading the Australian Labor Party (South Australian Branch), South Australian Branch of the Australian Labor Party from a single term in opposition back to government at the 1982 South Australian state election, 1982 election. At the 1985 South Australian state election, 1985 election Bannon's government was re-elected with an increased majority, but it was reduced to minority government status at the 1989 South Australian state election, 1989 election. He is widely recognised for his eccentric clothing, wild hair, and his production of several cutting edge drum and bass tracks. John Bannon (referee)
John Bannon (born 1963/1964) is a former inter-county Gaelic football referee, who refereed two All-Ireland SFC finals during the 1990s and 2000s. He refereed the 1998 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final between Galway and Kildare. He also officiated the 2002 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final between Armagh and Kerry. Bannon is a member of the Legan Sarsfields club in County Longford, where he played in midfield - as of 2006 he had won one Senior B Championship, one Intermediate Championship and two Junior Championships. By 2006 he had refereed three Longford Senior Football Championship finals. He is a Vodafone All Star Award winner. John James Bannon (June 14, 1940 – October 25, 2017) was an American actor. He was best known for his role as Art Donovan on ''Lou Grant'', a role he played for the duration of the series, from 1977 to 1982. Early life Bannon was born on June 14, 1940, in Los Angeles, California. His parents were actors Jim Bannon and Bea Benaderet. He graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1963. Career At age 24, Bannon began working as a dialog coach on ''Petticoat Junction,'' the sitcom on which his mother starred. In 1963, he appeared in the Season 1 episode "Kate's Recipe for Hot Rhubarb" of the series as Bobbie Joe's date, Roger. In 1969, Bannon was seen again on ''Petticoat Junction'' (after his mother died in 1968) appearing as Buck in the episode "One of Our Chickens Is Missing".
