Izzy Daniel
Isabel Grace Daniel (born September 29, 2000) is an American ice hockey forward for PWHL Vancouver of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). She was drafted 18th overall by the Toronto Sceptres in the 2024 PWHL draft. She played college ice hockey at Cornell University and won the Patty Kazmaier Award in 2024. Early life Daniel played four years of varsity hockey for The Blake School, winning two state championships and being named team MVP twice, all-conference three times, and all-state twice. She was a finalist for the Minnesota Ms. Hockey Award in 2019. Playing career College Beginning her collegiate career for Cornell University in the 2019–20 season, Daniel recorded three goals and 14 assists in 29 games. 2025 PWHL Expansion Draft
The 2025 PWHL Draft was the third annual draft in Professional Women's Hockey League history, and took place on June 24, 2025, at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Kristýna Kaltounková was selected first overall by the New York Sirens. Eligibility The declaration period for the draft opened on March 1, 2024, and closed on May 8. Undrafted players will become free agents; players must declare for the draft to reach free agency. Selected players may re-enter the draft if they are not signed to their draft club after two years. No player may declare for more than two drafts. Players ineligible to play in the 2025–26 season are not eligible to be selected. On May 15, 2025, the PWHL released the full list of eligible players.
