Innes FitzGerald
Innes FitzGerald (born 6 April 2006) is a British track and field athlete and cross country runner. She is the 2023 and 2024 European U20 Cross Country champion. Early life FitzGerald hails from Beer, Devon and attended Axe Valley Academy. Her parents own a smallholding on which FitzGerald has worked. In 2024, she began to attend the University of Exeter. Career 2022 She runs for the Exeter Harriers and is trained by Gavin Pavey, the husband of runner Jo Pavey. She won the Mini London Marathon in October 2022. FitzGerald set a new under-17 record for 3,000 metres, and in December 2022 finished fourth in the under-20s European Cross Country Championships in Turin, competing as a seventeen year-old. 2024 World Athletics Cross Country Championships – U20 Women's Race
4 (four) is a number, numeral and digit. It is the natural number following 3 and preceding 5. It is a square number, the smallest semiprime and composite number, and is considered unlucky in many East Asian cultures. Evolution of the Hindu-Arabic digit Brahmic numerals represented 1, 2, and 3 with as many lines. 4 was simplified by joining its four lines into a cross that looks like the modern plus sign. 2024 World Athletics Cross Country Championships
The 2024 World Athletics Cross Country Championships was the 45th edition of the World Athletics Cross Country Championships held on 30 March 2024 in Belgrade, Serbia. It was held in the Park of Friendship, located next to the Danube River. Originally planned to be held in Medulin and Pula in Croatia in February 2024, the World Athletics announced in September 2023 that event would be moved to Belgrade. Belgrade has previously hosted the 2013 European Cross Country Championships, and recently hosted the 2022 World Athletics Indoor Championships. The Championships consisted of five events– the 10 km main races for men and women, 8 km and 6 km races for under-20 men and women respectively, and a 4 x 2 km mixed relay. About 485 athletes from 51 nations participated in the events. There were nine sets of medals that were awarded across the five events. Georgia Hunter Bell (née Bell; born 17 October 1993) is an English track and field athlete who competes as a middle distance runner, and in the duathlon. In 2024, she won a bronze medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in the 1500 metres, running a new national record time. That year, she also won the silver medal at the 2024 European Athletics Championships and became British national champion, indoors and outdoors, in the 1500 metres.
