''Innerstanding'' is the second solo studio album by English musician Dhani Harrison, released on 20 October 2023 through BMG Rights Management. The album is Harrison's first in six years, following 2017's ''In Parallel'', and includes collaborations with Graham Coxon, Mereki and Liela Moss. It received positive reviews from critics. Critical reception ''Innerstanding'' received a score of 71 out of 100 on review aggregator Metacritic based on five critics' reviews, indicating "generally favorable" reception. Stephen Thomas Erlewine of AllMusic called it "an ever-shifting, meditative record occupying a space somewhere between close listening and ambience. Dhani Harrison
Dhani Harrison (; born 1 August 1978) is an English musician, composer and singer-songwriter. He is the only child of George and Olivia Harrison. Dhani debuted as a professional musician assisting in recording his father's final album, ''Brainwashed'', and completing it with the assistance of Jeff Lynne after his father's death in November 2001. Harrison formed his own band, thenewno2, in 2002 and has performed at festivals, including Coachella, where Spin magazine dubbed their performance as one of the "best debut performances of the festival." The band also played Lollapalooza three times, with Harrison joining the festival's founder Perry Farrell on a cover of The Velvet Underground's " Sweet Jane" at 2010's event. Graham Coxon
Graham Leslie Coxon (born 12 March 1969) is an English musician, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and painter who came to prominence as a founding member of the rock band Blur. As the group's lead guitarist and secondary vocalist, Coxon is featured on all eight of Blur's studio albums (although 2003's ''Think Tank'' only features his playing on one track, due to his temporary departure from the band during recording sessions for the album). He has also led a solo career since 1998, which all of his solo albums were produced and all the instruments played by himself. Mereki Rose Beach, better known by her stage name Mereki (born March 23, 1985, in Billinudgel, Australia), is an Australian/English pop singer. Early life Mereki was born in Byron Bay and raised in Noosa, Australia but her father was English. The Australian-English musician moved to Sweden at 17 and has lived in London, Scotland, Melbourne & New York before settling in Los Angeles, where her career developed. Stephen Thomas Erlewine (; born June 18, 1973) is an American music critic and senior editor for the online music database AllMusic. He is the author of many artist biographies and record reviews for AllMusic, as well as a freelance writer, occasionally contributing liner notes. Erlewine was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and is a nephew of the former musician and AllMusic founder Michael Erlewine. He studied at the University of Michigan, where he majored in English, and was a music editor (1993–94) and then arts editor (1994–1995) of the school's paper '' The Michigan Daily'', and DJ'd at the campus radio station, WCBN.
