Rahat Indori
Rahat Indori, born as Rahat Qureshi, (1 January 1950 – 11 August 2020) was an Indian Bollywood lyricist and Urdu poet. He was also a former professor of Urdu language and a painter. Prior to this he was a pedagogist of Urdu literature at DAVV. Biography Indori was born on 1 January 1950, in Indore to Rafatullah Qureshi (a cloth mill worker), and his wife Maqbool Un Nisa Begum. He was their fourth child. Rahat Indori did his schooling from Nutan School Indore from where he completed his Higher Secondary. He completed his graduation from Islamia Karimia College, Indore in 1973 and has passed his MA in Urdu literature from Barkatullah University with a gold medal. (Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh) in 1975. Rahat was awarded a PhD in Urdu literature from the Bhoj University of Madhya Pradesh in 1985 for his thesis titled ''Urdu Main Mushaira''. Indori Poha (Poha of Indore) is a type of flattened (beaten) rice that is likely to have originated in Indian metropolis of Indore. It contains steamed ''Poha'' (flattened rice) and is usually served with a unique combination of Jalebi (called Poha-Jalebi combined), Sev, Usal, sliced onions and fennel seeds. Unlike the other varieties of Poha found across India, Indori Poha is cooked in steam instead of being cooked directly with other ingredients. This provides Indori Poha its distinct taste, softness, and flavor. Vendors generally prefer pea instead of peanuts as opposed to the traditional Pohay of India. Indori fort also known as Induri Fort ( mr, इन्दुरी किल्ला)is one of the many Land forts of Maharashtra state in India. Situated close to the hill station Lonavala and north of Pune, Indori fort rises to an elevation of above sea level. The fort is located on the banks of Indrayani river. The fort was under the Maratha empire for the majority of the time. History Indori fort was built by Sarsenapati Khandojirao Yesajirao Dabhade in the year 1720-21. The fort also has a mint building inside the fort which is in a dilapidated state. The widow of Khanderao (Khandojirao), Sarsenapati Umabai Dabhade, was the first and only woman to become Commander-in-Chief of the Maratha forces in 1732. Indori River
The Indori river (Hindi: इन्दोरी नदी), is a rain-fed river originates from Aravalli Range from Sikar district and flows through Alwar district of Rajasthan to Rewari district of Haryana and it is the longest tributary of Sahibi River which stretches to 50 km. In Delhi, it is called the Najafgarh drain or Najafgarh Nallah. Archaeological findings Archaeological findings on the Sahibi River have confirmed habitations on its banks before the Harappan and pre-Mahabharata periods. Both handmade and wheel-made earthenware dated from 3309–2709 BCE and 2879–2384 BCE has been found on the banks of the Sahibi River at Jodhpura. INTACH-Rewari found pottery on the Sahibi riverbed at Hansaka in the Rewari district.
