Shyamalal Babu Rai, known professionally as Indeevar (also credited as Indiwar and Indeewar), (1 January 1924 – 27 February 1997) was one of the leading Hindi film lyricists from the 1960s then through1990s Early life He was born and grew up in Barua Sagar of Jhansi district of Uttar Pradesh. He moved to Mumbai to pursue a professional career as a lyricist. Career He got recognition with ''Malhar'' in 1951, where he penned "Bade Armano Se Rakkha Hai Balam Teri Kasam", which was set to music by Roshan. He wrote more than a thousand songs for over 300 films in a career spanning over four decades. Indeevar also wrote songs for famous pop duo Nazia Hassan and Zohaib Hassan. The Gentleman (film)
''The Gentleman'' is a 1994 Indian Hindi-language vigilante action film directed by Mahesh Bhatt and produced by Allu Aravind, starring Chiranjeevi, Juhi Chawla, Harish Kumar and Paresh Rawal. It is a remake of the Tamil film ''Gentleman'' (1993). Three of the songs were re-used without any change in tune or instrumentation, from A. R. Roshan Lal Nagrath (14 July 1917 – 16 November 1967), known mononymously as Roshan, was an Indian esraj player and music director. He was the father of actor and film director Rakesh Roshan and music director Rajesh Roshan and paternal grandfather of Hrithik Roshan. Early life and education Roshan was born on 14 July 1917 in Gujranwala in the Punjab Province (British India), Punjab Province of British India (now in Punjab, Pakistan) into a Punjabis, Punjabi Saraswat Brahmin family.
