''Imprint'' is the second studio album by the American metalcore band Vision of Disorder, released on July 28, 1998, through Roadrunner Records. Recorded with producer Dave Sardy at various studios in New York City in April 1998, it is a metalcore and heavy metal album featuring a raw sound and complex rhythms and arrangements. Its lyrics were primarily inspired by vocalist Tim Williams receiving a permanently scarring face injury, depicted on the album's cover, and are centered on turning negative experiences into positive ones. Pantera vocalist Phil Anselmo makes a guest appearance on "By the River". ''Imprint'' received positive reviews from critics and debuted at number 10 on the ''Billboard'' Heatseekers Albums Chart and number 197 on the UK Albums Chart. ''NOLA'' is the debut studio album by American heavy metal band Down, released on September 19, 1995, by EastWest Records. The title is the abbreviation for New Orleans (NO), Louisiana (LA). Production Writing and recording ''NOLA'' was written mainly by Phil Anselmo and Pepper Keenan between 1990 and 1995. Throughout 1991 to 1993, the band released three demos, a three-track demo (1991), a four-track demo (1992), and a ten-track demo (1993). Originally, the band made the three-track demo for underground trading. The demo featured the tracks "Losing All", "Temptation's Wings", and "Bury Me in Smoke". In an effort to build a fan base, the band would ask heavy metal fans if they had ever "heard of this band, Down" and hand them copies of the tape without telling the person that they were in the band. Down is an American heavy metal supergroup that formed in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1991. Machine Head is an American Heavy metal music, heavy metal band from Oakland, California. The band was formed in 1991 by vocalist/rhythm guitarist Robb Flynn, who remains the only original member of the band. Robb Flynn
Robert Conrad Flynn (born Lawrence Matthew Cardine; July 19, 1967) is an American musician best known as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for heavy metal band Machine Head and also the only member to feature all Machine Head releases. Flynn formed the band along with Adam Duce, Logan Mader and Tony Costanza after leaving Bay Area thrash band Vio-lence. Life and career Flynn was born Lawrence Matthew Cardine in Oakland, California. Flynn cited Black Sabbath as his biggest influence and the reason he plays guitar. Other influences include Bay Area thrash metal bands like Exodus, Metallica, Slayer and hardcore punk/crossover thrash groups such as Dead Kennedys, D.R.I., and Suicidal Tendencies. Helmet is an American alternative metal band from New York City formed in 1989 by vocalist and lead guitarist Page Hamilton. Helmet has had numerous lineup changes with Hamilton as the only constant member. Since 2010, the band has consisted of Hamilton, drummer Kyle Stevenson, guitarist Dan Beeman and bassist Dave Case.
