Ikue Kitazawa
is a Japanese curler from Saku, Nagano. She is the skip of the Chubu Electric Power curling team, which won the Japan Curling Championships in both 2017 and 2019. At the international level, she has represented Japan twice at the World Women's Curling Championship (, ) and the 2019 Pacific-Asia Curling Championships, where she won a silver medal. Career Kitazawa and her team of Chiaki Matsumura, Emi Shimizu, Hasumi Ishigooka and Seina Nakajima broke onto the national stage during the 2016–17 season when the team won the 2017 Japan Curling Championships. Karuizawa, Nagano
is a resort town located in Nagano Prefecture, Japan. , the town had an estimated population of 20,323 in 9897 households, and a population density of 130 persons per km2. 2024 Japan Curling Championships
The 2024 Japan Curling Championships (branded as the 41st Zen-Noh Japan Curling Championships) were held from January 28 to February 4 at the Hokkaido Bank Curling Stadium in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. The winning teams earned the right to represent Japan at the 2024 World Men's Curling Championship and the 2024 World Women's Curling Championship respectively. Both the men's and women's events were played in three rounds, a change in format from previous years. Similar to the Manitoba Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the ten teams were split into two pools of five. The top three teams in each group advanced to the championship round where they crossed over and played the three teams from the opposing pool. The World Curling Tour (WCT) is a group of curling bonspiels featuring the best male, female, and Doubles curling, mixed doubles curlers in the world. History The World Curling Tour was founded by former World Champion Ed Lukowich, with later assistance from John Kawaja. The World Curling Tour commenced in 1992, with men's events only at first. It replaced the "Canadian Curling Tour" held the previous season. The first season consisted of 48 events (with only one outside Canada), and was sponsored by Seagram's distillery. The 2017 World Women's Curling Championship (branded as CPT World Women's Curling Championship 2017 for sponsorship reasons) was a curling event held between March 18–26 at the Capital Indoor Stadium in Beijing, China. Satsuki Fujisawa
is a Japanese curler from Kitami, Hokkaido. As a skip, she has won the Japanese national championship six times. Fujisawa skipped the bronze medal-winning Japanese team at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games and the silver medal-winning team at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Chiaki Matsumura
is a Japanese curler from Nagano. She was a longtime member of the Chubu Electric Power curling team from 2012 to 2023. With the team, she won five Japan Curling Championships in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2017 and 2019. At the international level, she has represented Japan three times at the World Women's Curling Championship (, , ) and three times at the Pacific-Asia Curling Championships (, , ), winning a silver medal in both 2012 and 2019.
