Ihor Kostenko
Ihor Ihorovych Kostenko ( uk, Ігор Ігорович Костенко; 31 December 1991 – 20 February 2014) was a Ukrainian journalist, student activist and Wikipedian killed during the Euromaidan events. Biography Kostenko was born in Zubrets, Buchach Raion. He was raised by his grandparents, as his parents worked primarily in Saint Petersburg. As a child he attended Saint Josaphat Buchatskiy, a Ukrainian Catholic parochial school in Buchach. He had one sister, Inna. Kostenko received his bachelor's degree in 2013 and was a first-year graduate student in geography at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, in Western Ukraine. His thesis was the development of the tourism industry in Buchach. He also worked as a journalist for the online edition of the sports website ''Sportanalitika'' (''Sport Analytics''). Zubrets
Zubrets ( uk, Зубрець) is a village in Chortkiv Raion (Raions of Ukraine, district) of Ternopil Oblast (Oblasts of Ukraine, province) in western Ukraine. It belongs to Buchach urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Until 18 July 2020, Zubrets belonged to Buchach Raion. The raion was abolished in July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Ternopil Oblast to three. The area of Buchach Raion was merged into Chortkiv Raion. Famous people Activist Ihor Kostenko (1991–2014) who was killed during the Euromaidan events was born here. Trident
A trident is a three- pronged spear. It is used for spear fishing and historically as a polearm. The trident is the weapon of Poseidon, or Neptune, the God of the Sea in classical mythology. Jimmy Donal Wales (born August 7, 1966), also known on Wikipedia by the pseudonym Jimbo, is an American-British Internet entrepreneur, webmaster, and former financial trader. He is a co-founder of the online non-profit encyclopedia Wikipedia and the for-profit wiki hosting service Fandom (formerly Wikia). He has worked on other online projects, including Bomis, Nupedia, WikiTribune, and WT Social. Wales was born in Huntsville, Alabama, where he attended Randolph School, a university-preparatory school. List Of People Killed During Euromaidan
This is a list of people killed during the February 2014 Revolution of Dignity in Ukraine, part of the wider Euromaidan movement, and the early phase of the Russo-Ukrainian War. The list includes 130 identified individuals from both sides of the conflict who died during the events, including 18 police officers who were killed by the protesters. The majority of those killed were civilians who supported the revolution.
