Ian Broudie
Ian Zachary Broudie (born 4 August 1958) is an English musician and singer-songwriter from Liverpool. After emerging from the post-punk scene in Liverpool in the late 1970s as a member of Big in Japan, Broudie went on to produce albums (sometimes under the name Kingbird) for artists including Echo & the Bunnymen, the Fall, the Coral, the Zutons and the Subways. Around 1989, he began writing and recording under the name Lightning Seeds, releasing the album '' Cloudcuckooland'' through Rough Trade on the independent label Ghetto Records, eventually putting together a live touring band in 1994. The Lightning Seeds achieved great commercial success during much of the 1990s. In 2004, Broudie released an album titled '' Tales Told'' under his own name. The Lightning Seeds reformed in 2006 and released their sixth studio album '' Four Winds'' in 2009. A seventh album, ''See You in the Stars'', was released in 2022. The Coral
The Coral are an English rock band, formed in 1996 in Hoylake on the Wirral Peninsula, Merseyside. The band emerged during the early 2000s. Their 2002 debut album ''The Coral (album), The Coral'', from which came the single "Dreaming of You (The Coral song), Dreaming of You", was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize and listed as the fourth best album of the year by ''NME''. Flaming Sword
"Flaming Sword" is the debut single by English new wave band Care, released in 1983 on Arista Records. It was written by both band members Paul Simpson and Ian Broudie, and produced by Broudie, under the alias Kingbird. The song charted on the UK Singles Chart where it peaked at No. 48 in May 1983 and remained on the chart for a total of 5 weeks. Broudie later recorded his version of "Flaming Sword" with his band the Lightning Seeds which first appeared on the 1990 U.S. promo single of "Sweet Dreams" (a track from '' Cloudcuckooland'') and again two years later on the 1992 single "Sense" (from the album ''Sense''). Simpson has performed in the Philippines on several occasions, singing his Wild Swans hits popular in the country and has performed "Flaming Sword" as well as "Whatever Possessed You" during his live shows there. Bette Bright (born Catherine Anne Martin 23 December 1953) is an English rock singer. Personal life Anne Martin was born in Tankerton. She lived at Tankerton Road, with her elder sister Alanah. Her father was Malcolm Martin. She attended Rochester Grammar School, with A-levels in English, French, and Art. Afterwards she attended Notre Dame College of Education, in Liverpool. Anne Martin married to Graham McPherson aka Suggs, lead singer of Madness in 1981. John Peel
John Robert Parker Ravenscroft (30 August 1939 – 25 October 2004), better known as John Peel, was an English radio presenter and journalist. He was the longest-serving of the original disc jockeys on BBC Radio 1, broadcasting regularly from 1967 until his death in 2004. William "Holly" Johnson (born 9 February 1960) is an English singer, songwriter and artist, best known as the lead vocalist of Frankie Goes to Hollywood, who achieved huge commercial success in the mid-1980s.
