Jorge Antonio Alvarez (born May 1, 1970), better known by his stage names Kurious or Kurious Jorge, is an American hip hop music, hip hop recording artist from New York City. Biography Kurious is of Puerto Rican people, Puerto Rican and Cuban-American, Cuban descent, and grew up in the Upper West Side neighborhood of Manhattan Valley. In 1993, he appeared on Pete Nice and DJ Richie Rich's album ''Dust to Dust (Pete Nice and DJ Richie Rich album), Dust to Dust''. The duo helped Kurious get a record deal with Columbia Records via Bobbito and Nice's Hoppoh imprint. In 1992, he released his first single, "Walk Like a Duck". Then he signed a contract with Sony Music. In 1994, Kurious released his critically acclaimed debut album ''A Constipated Monkey''. ''No Need for Alarm'' is the second solo studio album by American hip hop musician Del the Funky Homosapien. It was released in 1993 through Elektra Records. The recording sessions took place at Hyde Street Studios in San Francisco and at Chung King House of Metal in New York City. The album spawned the two singles, "Catch a Bad One" and "Wrong Place". Teren Delvon Jones (born August 12, 1972), better known by his stage name Del the Funky Homosapien (sometimes stylized as Del tha Funkee Homosapien) or Sir DZL, is an American rapper. Music career 1988–1997: Early life and beginnings Born in Oakland, California, he is the cousin of seminal West Coast rapper Ice Cube, and began his career writing lyrics for Ice Cube's group Da Lench Mob. Michael Berrin (born May 6, 1967), better known by his stage name MC Serch, is an American rapper and record executive. He gained fame as part of the hip hop group 3rd Bass, who were active in the late 1980s and early 1990s and released three studio albums. In his solo work, Serch is credited with having discovered American rapper Nas in 1992. Robert "Bobbito" Garcia (born September 25, 1966), also known as DJ Cucumber Slice and Kool Bob Love, is an American DJ, radio host, author, and member of the Rock Steady Crew. It was released on April 27, 1993, via Def Jam Recordings/Columbia Records/Sony Music Entertainment, a year after the breakup of 3rd Bass. The album features numerous disses towards their former bandmate MC Serch. The recording sessions took place in New York at Rampant Recording Studio, Chung King Studios, and LGK Studios. Production was handled by Pete Nice, DJ Richie Rich, The Beatnuts, KMD, and Sam Sever of Downtown Science. The album found limited success, reaching #171 on the ''Billboard'' 200, #50 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, and #8 on the Heatseekers Albums in the United States.
