The DSB Class ES is an electric multiple unit to be used by the Danish State Railways (DSB). The trains go by the name ''IC5'' and are constructed by Alstom in Poland and Germany. Overview History On April 12, 2021, DSB announced that it would be acquiring 100 trains from Alstom. The investment was worth 2.6 billion euros. In April 2022 the name of the train was revealed as ''IC5''. A month later in May 2022 the entry into service for the trains was delayed from December 2024 to mid 2025. On May 11, 2023, a mockup was revealed in Copenhagen. In November 2023 a second delay was announced, pushing back the entry into service all the way to 2027. Alstom and DSB received the Red Dot Design Award for the design of the IC5 on June 21, 2024. The first unit began testing at the Velim facility on September 1st, 2024. The Red Dot Design Award is an international, annual design competition for product and industrial design, brand and communication design as well as design concepts, in which the Red Dot quality label is awarded to winners. ICNG
The Intercity Nieuwe Generatie (), or ICNG, nicknamed "Wesp" (Wasp) is an electric multiple unit trainset of the Dutch Railways. In addition to supplementing the existing intercity rolling stock, it will replace the Bombardier TRAXX locomotives and coaches on the high-speed line between Amsterdam and Belgium. Pop (train)
The ETR 103 and ETR 104 are electric multiple units built by Alstom in Savigliano, belonging to the Coradia Stream family, intended for the regional railway services of various Italian companies. It is used by many Italian railway companies; Trenitalia has most of this type of train in its fleet, other operators also use the trains such as Trenord, Tper, and Ferrotramviaria. All operators except Trenitalia use the Pop commercial name. Trenitalia retired the name in November 2024. Trenord still uses the nickname Donizetti for their ETR 204 trains.
