Hōyoku
is the fifth studio album by Japanese band Mucc, released on November 23, 2005. It shows the band exploring new territory with less heavy material, drawing from folk influences. The album reached number 22 on the Oricon Albums Chart. Overview The lyrical themes of the album are also a sharp turn away from the darkness of their previous albums. The limited edition of the album includes a DVD with footage from their European tour. The first press versions included a second disc with two extra songs and had a blue cover instead of brown. is a Japanese visual kei Rock music, rock band, formed in Ibaraki Prefecture in 1997. The classic line up of Tatsuro (singer), Tatsuro on vocals, Miya (musician), Miya on guitar, Yukke on bass, and Satochi on drums was solidified in 1999 following the departure of original bassist Hiro. After 24 years, Satochi retired from the music industry in October 2021, leaving Mucc a trio. They have released 17 studio albums, with 2020's ''Aku (album), Aku'' being their highest-charting. is the sixth studio album by Japanese band Mucc, released on April 26, 2006 in Japan, and on May 12, 2006 in Europe, via Gan-Shin. Kuchiki No Tō
is the fourth studio album by Japanese rock band Mucc, released on September 1, 2004, by Danger Crue Records. A European version was released on September 12, 2005, by Gan-Shin. The album reached number 19 on the Oricon Albums Chart. Overview Guitarist and principal songwriter Miya said that prior to ''Zekū'' (2003) and ''Kuchiki no Tō'' (2004), his lyrics were about past events and "traumas" he experienced, but with these two albums he wrote about present inner feelings within the band. Despite audiences loving the shows, he seems to regret having done this as he speculated that he drank a lot on those tours so he would not have to face what he was expressing on stage, and stated that there is one song on ''Kuchiki no Tō'' that he will no longer play. Gan-Shin, who released the album in Europe, reported this song to be "Kuchiki no Tō". Alternative Metal
Alternative metal (also known as alt-metal) is a genre of heavy metal music that combines heavy metal with influences from alternative rock and other genres not normally associated with metal. Post-grunge
Post-grunge is an offshoot of grunge that has a less abrasive or intense tone than traditional grunge. Danger Crue Records is a Japanese visual kei independent record label located in Tokyo, Japan. It was originally the record label of the Danger Crue music office, both founded in 1981. According to D'erlanger drummer Tetsu, Danger Crue was formed for the heavy metal band 44Magnum. The first release by Danger Crue was the album ''Insane'' by Reaction in July 1985. In April 2000, the office changed its name to the Maverick D.C. Group but continues to run the Danger Crue Records label. In 2002, Maverick D.C. held a concert to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Danger Crue. It has since become an annual year-end event under the name Jack in the Box since 2007, derived from the nickname of Maverick D.C. president Masahiro Oishi. The Oricon Albums Chart is the Japanese music industry standard albums popularity chart issued daily, weekly, monthly and yearly by Oricon. Oricon originally published LP, CT, Cartridge and CD charts prior to the establishment of the Oricon Albums Chart on October 5, 1987. The Oricon Albums Chart's rankings are based on physical albums' sales. A Digital Albums Chart based on download sales was established on November 19, 2016. On December 24, 2018, Oricon introduced a Combined Albums Chart based on album-equivalent units. It counts physical sales, digital sales and streaming. The Back Horn
is a Japanese rock band, formed in Tokyo in 1998. History The band got started around April in 1998, when the original members all came to Tokyo from the countryside where they all lived, all for different reasons. They met, and decided to start a band. First called Gyorai, they soon changed their name to The Back Horn. This name was based on Matsuda's misreading of the "backhoe" he used in his construction work. From the beginning, one of the features of the band was a harsh sound and lyrics dealing with decadence and destruction, war, peace, isolation, love and death. In a 2005 interview, the band members listed Nirvana and Radiohead as inspiration for their musical style. Tatsuro (singer)
is a Japanese singer and songwriter. He is best known as lead vocalist of the visual kei rock band Mucc since 1997. Tatsuro began a solo career in December 2021 and simultaneously released the albums ''= (Equal)'' and ''Hikagaku Hoteishiki'' the following year. Both reached the top 35 on the Oricon chart. His third album, ''Colors'' (2024), became his highest-charting solo release to date when it reached number 29. Early life Tatsuro was born in Mito, Ibaraki on August 21, 1979, as the youngest of three kids. His family home doubled as a hair salon, and each of his family members is a hairdresser. , better known as , is a Japanese musician, songwriter, and record producer. He is best known as guitarist and leader of the visual kei rock band Mucc since 1997. He is also a guitarist of the supergroup Petit Brabancon (band), Petit Brabancon.
