Håvard Fossum
Håvard Fossum (born 7 June 1971 in Trondheim, Norway) is a Norwegian jazz musician (saxophone and flute), composer and arranger, situated in Oslo since January 2000. He is known from a series of recordings and cooperations with the likesog Tommy Dorsey, John Surman, Staffan William-Olsson, Jens Wendelboe, Anders Aarum and Jarle Vespestad. Career Fossum holds a Bachelor's degree from the Jazz program at Trondheim Musikkonservatorium (NTNU, 1989–92), and a Master's degree in ''Jazz Saxophone Performance'' from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami in Florida. Here he studied composition and arranging with Ron Miller ("Modal Jazz Composing and Arranging, Vol I & Vol II") and Gary Lindsay ("Jazz Arranging Techniques"). Fossum was awarded a grant of US$16 000,- by the "Norge-Amerika Foreningen" to take this education. Bill Champlin
William Bradford Champlin (born May 21, 1947) is an American singer, musician, arranger, producer, and songwriter. He formed the band Sons of Champlin in 1965, which still performs today, and was a member of the band Chicago from 1981–2009. He performed lead vocals on three of Chicago's biggest hits of the 1980s, 1984's " Hard Habit to Break" and 1988's " Look Away" and "I Don't Wanna Live Without Your Love". During live shows, he performed the lower, baritone, vocal parts originated by original guitarist Terry Kath, who had died in 1978. He has won multiple Grammy Awards for songwriting. Kjell Oddvar Karlsen (29 July 1931 – 5 May 2020) was a Norwegian band leader, composer, arranger, jazz pianist and organist, and a Nestor of Norwegian music and show business, with a career spanning more than 60 years. He was the father of the singer Webe Karlsen. Career Karlsen was born in Sarpsborg. Inspired by the Nat King Cole jazz ensembles from the time of World War II, he started his own orchestra at the age of 16 in 1947, ''The Syncopators Band'', in Sarpsborg, and he soon became a central figure in the local jazz scene. Børre Dalhaug (born 29 April 1974 in Ålesund, Norway) is a Norwegian jazz musician (drums), music arranger and music instructor. Career Dalhaug has worked as a musician since 1995 and done around 800 concerts with bands like The Real Thing, Staffan William-Olsson Sextet, Nora Brockstedt, Oslo Groove Company, Bohuslän Big Band among others. Erling Sachs Wicklund (7 June 1944 – 8 August 2019) was a Norwegian jazz trombonist, composer, arranger and journalist, known for a series of jazz programs on NRK. Career Wicklund was born in Göteborg, Sweden, and studied musicology, art history and English at the University of Oslo, composition and arranging at "Dick Grove School of Music" in Los Angeles, and trombone at Musikkonservatoriet in Oslo. Halvard Magne Kausland (25 April 1945 – 21 December 2017) was a Norwegian jazz guitarist and civil servant. Biography He hails from Sund. He has his education from the ''Norges kommunal- og sosialhøgskole'', Agder Regional College and the University of Bergen.
