Hyptec () is a Chinese electric vehicle brand owned by GAC Aion, the electric vehicle subsidiary of GAC Group. It was founded in 2022 under the name Hyper, before it was renamed in 2024. The brand serves as a premium product line of GAC Aion, which uses the Aion brand for mass-market electric vehicles. The Hyptec SSR () or previously Hyper SSR is an electric sports car to be produced by Chinese automobile manufacturer GAC Aion and sold under the Hyptec premium EV brand beginning in 2023. The Hyptec SSR will be the first production 2-door supercar by GAC. In August 2024, GAC Aion announced to rename the Hyper brand's English name to Hyptec. Overview The Hyptec SSR was first previewed by the GAC Enpulse electric roadster concept, revealed at Auto China in Beijing in September 2020.
