Heylaa
''Heylaa'' is a 2006 Maldivian crime film written and directed by Moomin Fuad. Produced by Mohamed Samee, the film stars Ismail Rasheed, Ahmed Mauroof and Zeenath Abbas in pivotal roles. Winning five Gaumee Film Awards, the film was also screened at several Film Festivals including the South Asian Film Festival Maldives, 2007. The film narrates the story of a fourteen-year-old boy who finds himself unknowingly being involved in smuggling of a revolver. Though the film received positive reviews from critics, it was a commercial failure. The film is the first Maldivian film to be shot in high-definition digital video. Moomin Fuad
Moomin Fuad is a Maldivian film director, cinematographer and screenwriter known for the critically acclaimed films ''Heylaa'' (2006), ''Happy Birthday'' (2009) and ''Loodhifa'' (2011). Ali Shifau
Ali Shifau (born 19 May 1977) is a Maldivian film director, cinematographer and editor. One of the most successful filmmakers in Maldivian Cinema, Shifau is the recipient of a number of awards, including seven Gaumee Film Awards, and four Maldives Film Awards. In 2018, the Government of Maldives honoured him with the National Award of Recognition. Zeenath Abbas
Fathimath Zeenath (born 14 August 1978), commonly known as Zeenath Abbas is a Maldivian actress. She has established a career in Maldivian films and is the recipient of a Gaumee Film Award. Making her screen debut alongside Reeko Moosa Manik in the song "Edheythee Reethi Moona", her first film release was Mohamed Rasheed directed drama film '' Kuhveriya'' (1998). Hassan Ali Manik professionally known as Koyya Hassan Manik (25 April 1953 – 20 February 2021) was a Maldivian film actor and producer.
