"Hey Hey Michael You're Really Fantastic" is a song by Rachel Stamp, released as the second single through WEA. It was released in August 1996 on three formats, CD single, Limited Edition 12" vinyl of 1000 copies and cassette. A promotional video was also made to promote the release. The song is the only Rachel Stamp track to be released twice as a single, with a limited edition live version of the song being issued in 2000 during the band's "Hymns For Strange Children Tour" of the UK. Rachel Stamp are an United Kingdom, English rock band formed in London in 1994. Their debut album, ''Hymns For Strange Children'', was released in 2000, followed by ''Oceans of Venus'' two years later. History Rachel Stamp were formed in 1994 when David Ryder Prangley met Will Crewdson before recruiting Cliff Harris and Mike Rowe. The band signed to Warner Music Group, WEA Records, but were dropped without releasing the album they had recorded after Clive Black, who had signed the band, left the label. Harris and Rowe left soon after before Crewdson and Ryder Prangley recruited drummer Robin Guy and released several E.P.s through their own label 'Bitch Vinyl'. This single was the band's second release via the Cruisin' Records label, and reached Number Three on the NME Independent Singles Chart in February, 2000. The single was released on two formats (CD single and a limited edition 7" vinyl) two weeks prior to the release of the " Hymns For Strange Children" album and featured two songs left over from the album recording sessions - "Black Tambourine" (a live favourite) and a cover of the Warren Zevon song, " Carmelita". There was no promotional video made to promote this release. ''Stampax'' is a live album by London-based glam rockers Rachel Stamp, released on September 1, 2000, on Cruisin' Records. The album was recorded during the band's UK tour in support of their debut album, '' Hymns for Strange Children'' Background The ''Stampax'' album was originally intended to be a live recording of just one gig from the "Hymns for Strange Children Tour", but due to the fans demand for more rare material, the band recorded lots more gigs for the album. Another title proposed for the album was ''Old Enough to Bleed''. Originally issued as an “Internet Only and Mail Order” release that was only available through the Official Rachel Stamp Website, ''Stampax'' wasn’t issued to stores as a single CD until late September 2002. Feeder are a Welsh Rock music, rock band formed in Newport, Wales, Newport in 1994. They have released 11 studio albums, 12 compilations, four EPs and 43 singles, spending a combined total of 184 weeks on the singles and albums charts as of 2019, while accumulating 25 top 75 singles between 1997 and 2012. Alternative Rock
Alternative rock (also known as alternative music, alt-rock or simply alternative) is a category of rock music that evolved from the independent music underground of the 1970s. Jon Lee (drummer)
Jonathan Henry "Jon" Lee (28 March 1968 – 7 January 2002) was a Welsh drummer. He was the original drummer of the British rock band Feeder. Feeder and early career Feeder were formed whilst Grant Nicholas was a producer, before moving to London to gain more experience. He had already met Lee in Newport who moved to London afterwards. They formed a band named Raindancer, who despite winning a TV slot on ITV Central never gained a record deal. Shortly before this, Lee was a member of Newport band The Darling Buds, although only appearing on a couple of b-sides of the "Sure Thing" single. Raindancer's split saw bassist John Canham part ways with the band, before Simon Blight followed soon after when they reformed as Hum, which was changed to Reel, before then changing their name once again to Real when Taka Hirose took over bass duties in 1995.
