''Stampax'' is a live album by London-based glam rockers Rachel Stamp, released on September 1, 2000, on Cruisin' Records. The album was recorded during the band's UK tour in support of their debut album, '' Hymns for Strange Children'' Background The ''Stampax'' album was originally intended to be a live recording of just one gig from the "Hymns for Strange Children Tour", but due to the fans demand for more rare material, the band recorded lots more gigs for the album. Another title proposed for the album was ''Old Enough to Bleed''. Originally issued as an “Internet Only and Mail Order” release that was only available through the Official Rachel Stamp Website, ''Stampax'' wasn’t issued to stores as a single CD until late September 2002. The album was also released as a special bonus CD with the limited edition version of Hymns For Strange Children. It is currently out of print. "Hey Hey Michael You're Really Fantastic" is a song by Rachel Stamp, released as the second single through WEA. It was released in August 1996 on three formats, CD single, Limited Edition 12" vinyl of 1000 copies and cassette. A promotional video was also made to promote the release. The song is the only Rachel Stamp track to be released twice as a single, with a limited edition live version of the song being issued in 2000 during the band's "Hymns For Strange Children Tour" of the UK. Rachel Stamp are an United Kingdom, English rock band formed in London in 1994. Their debut album, ''Hymns For Strange Children'', was released in 2000, followed by ''Oceans of Venus'' two years later. History Rachel Stamp were formed in 1994 when David Ryder Prangley met Will Crewdson before recruiting Cliff Harris and Mike Rowe. The band signed to Warner Music Group, WEA Records, but were dropped without releasing the album they had recorded after Clive Black, who had signed the band, left the label. Harris and Rowe left soon after before Crewdson and Ryder Prangley recruited drummer Robin Guy and released several E.P.s through their own label 'Bitch Vinyl'. The band built up a considerable live following and received favourable coverage from magazines such as Kerrang!, Melody Maker and Metal Hammer. They appeared in the film 'G.M.T. ''Oceans of Venus'' is the second album from London-based glam rockers Rachel Stamp. The album was released in 2002 on Pure Stirling Records. Preceded by Rachel Stamp's highest charting single to date, "Black Cherry", the album was met with critical acclaim from the music press and some mixed feelings from fans that wanted an album similar to the raw, glam pop of the debut, " Hymns for Strange Children". James Newell Osterberg Jr. (born April 21, 1947), known professionally as Iggy Pop, is an American singer, musician, songwriter and actor.
