William Henry Walker (born October 9, 1987) is an American professional basketball player for Gladiadores de Anzoátegui of the Superliga Profesional de Baloncesto (SPB). Previously known as Bill Walker, the 6-foot-6-inch-tall (1.98 m) player was selected out of Kansas State University by the Washington Wizards with the 47th overall pick in the second round of the 2008 NBA draft and traded shortly thereafter to the Boston Celtics in exchange for cash considerations. Henry Harrison Walker
Henry Harrison Walker (October 15, 1832 – March 22, 1912) was a Confederate States Army brigadier general during the American Civil War (Civil War). He was born in Sussex County, Virginia. He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York in 1853 and served as an officer in the United States Army from 1853 to 1861. Walker was wounded twice during the war and lost his left foot. After the war, he became a stockbroker at Morristown, New Jersey where he lived until 1912. Early life Henry H. Sir Henry Walker CBE (17 March 1873 – 3 August 1954) was the Chief Inspector of Mines for Great Britain in the 1930s, most notable for leading the enquiry into the Gresford Colliery Disaster of 1934. In his younger days he was a rugby player of some note playing at county level and representing the Barbarians. Personal history Walker was born in Saltburn-by-the-Sea, Yorkshire in 1873 to William Walker, a mines' engineer, and his wife Margaret. The 1881 census records Walker at the age of eight now living in Guisborough along with his parents and five siblings. He was educated at Durham School. He served his time as a mining engineer at Bearpark Colliery, Durham and later gained his certificate of competence as a manager. Henry Oliver Walker (May 14, 1843 – January 14, 1929) was an American painter of figures and portraits best known for his mural decorations. His works include a series of paintings honoring various poets for the Library of Congress and decorations for public buildings such as the Appellate Court House in New York City, Bowdoin College in Maine, the Massachusetts State House, the Minnesota State Capitol, and the Court House in Newark, New Jersey. Life Walker was born in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1879, he went Paris, France to study painting under Léon Bonnat at the École des Beaux-Arts. After returning to the United States in 1882, he lived for a few years in Boston, then moved to New York and set up a studio there. In 1884, Walker exhibited two portraits at the Boston Art Club, and in 1885 he exhibited another portrait. Brigadier-General Henry Alexander Walker (20 October 1874 – 1 May 1953) was a British Army officer who served with the Royal Fusiliers regiment, and later with the King's African Rifles in the First World War. Military career Walker was the son of Lieut.-Colonel Edward Walker, Royal Fusiliers, and he was educated at St Georges College, Weybridge. He was commissioned a second lieutenant in the Royal Fusiliers in December 1894, was promoted to lieutenant on 24 November 1897, and to captain on 27 January 1900. He was later second in command of the 1st Battalion, King's African Rifles, Nairobi, at the turn of the 20th century. In 1914, he was brigade major in the Meerut Division. Henry Walker (born 10 March 1998) is an English rugby union player who currently plays for Gloucester in the Premiership Rugby as a hooker. He first played for Old Shillians RFC at age six. He has represented England U16s and U17s, captained at Bromsgrove School and won trophies in the U13 age group at the Millfield Sevens and the Rosslyn Park tournament. He also represented England U18s in a test series held in South Africa back in 2016.
