Heldur Jõgioja
Heldur Jõgioja (previously Heldur Aavik, born Bronisław Vjazhowsky; 21 September 1936 – 21 April 2010) was an Estonian musician, composer, writer, and journalist. Jõgioja's name at birth was Bronisław Vjazhowsky, and later took the name Heldur Aavik, then Heldur Jõgioja. Jõgioja was born in Elva and graduated from the Faculty of Law of Tartu State University in 1964. Aftwewards, he worked as a lawyer in Kohtla-Järve and Tartu and worked as a reporter for ''Õhtuleht''. In 1974, he joined the musical ensemble Suveniir as a keyboardist and accordionist. In total, he created about 300 songs and more than 1000 song texts. He also published collections of poetry, wrote historical plays, novels and short stories. He was the owner of the record label LeHelMus. He died in Tartu. Awards * Order of the White Star The Order of the White Star (; ) was instituted in 1936. Estonian Record Productions ("ERP") is an Estonian music production company, founded on 1 March 2001. The main activity was initially record production, and the company has now branched out to produce music festivals and concerts, act as artist management, publish music, and offers notation and specialised travel services for musicians. Peeter Vähi is the artistic director and Tiina Jokinen is the managing director. Music festivals ERP arranges two regular music festivals: an Eastern music festival, ''Orient'' and, in co-operation with the city of Tartu, the '' Glasperlenspiel'' festival. Though the home base for both festivals is Estonia, during recent years a number of concerts have taken place in Latvia, Finland, Sweden and St. Petersburg. Vennaskond (Estonian for ''Brotherhood'') is an Estonian punk rock band founded in 1984. The band has toured in Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Romania, Sweden, Germany, France, India, Poland and the United States (including CBGB). To show respect to the band, Metallica covered Vennaskond's hit song Insener Garini Hüperboloid (Engineer Garin's Hyperboloid) in Estonia in front of a 60 000 strong crowd during their gig in Tartu, Estonia on 18 July 2019. Michael Pärt Musik is an Icelandic-Estonian film music, sound and music production company founded by music producer Michael Pärt. The company is focused on score and soundtrack productions for feature films, TV and documentaries. In addition to producing, Michael Pärt Musik deals with engineering, editing, mixing and a little composing as well. Moonwalk Records is a record label located in Estonia. The label was founded in 2005 and is owned by Tambet Mumma and Sven Lõhmus. They are primarily engaged in creating and selling music, developing music performers, and organizing concert tours.
