Hedemora
Hedemora is a Urban areas in Sweden, town in Dalarna County and the seat of Hedemora Municipality, Sweden, with 7,273 inhabitants in 2010. Despite its small population, Hedemora is for historical reasons normally still referred to as a Stad (Sweden), ''city'', and as such the oldest in the county. Hedemora Municipality
Hedemora Municipality () is a municipality in Dalarna County in central Sweden. Its seat is in the city of Hedemora. In 1966 the ''City of Hedemora'' was amalgamated with the rural municipality by the same name and with ''Husby''. Military history Hedemora town was gathering place for the peasant militia during the Swedish War of Liberation against Denmark. In the victorious Battle of Brunnbäck Ferry in 1521, Peder Svensson from the village of''Vibberboda'' in present day Hedemora Municipality was one of the two leaders (the other was Olof Bonde from Norrbärke in today's Smedjebacken Municipality). Hedemora Diesel is a trademark for the Swedish company Hedemora Turbo & Diesel AB in Hedemora, Dalarnas län (a county in Sweden). It is a Corporate spin-off, spinoff from Hedemora Verkstäder. The company used to produce diesel engines for ships, locomotives, and oil platform, oil rigs along with backup Electric generator, generators for hospitals. Dalarna County
Dalarna County () is a county or '' län'' in central Sweden (Svealand). It borders on the counties of Uppsala, Jämtland, Gävleborg, Västmanland, Örebro and Värmland. Martin Matsbo
Martin Matsbo (4 October 1911 – 6 September 2002) was a Swedish cross-country skier who won a bronze medal in the 4 × 10 km relay at the 1936 Winter Olympics in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. He finished fourth in the 18 km event at those Games. Matsbo has earned two 4 × 10 km relay bronze medals at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships (1935, 1938). His best individual finish at the Nordic skiing World Championships was fourth in the 18 km in 1938. Matsbo also won the 18 km event at the 1937 Holmenkollen ski festival. He was born Martin Gustafsson, but changed his surname to Matsbo in 1928 after the village where he lived. Lars Jonas Nilsson (born 7 March 1963 in Hedemora, Dalarna) is a Swedish former alpine skier. He was born in Hedemora, which is located in Sweden. He competed at three Winter Olympics.
