Hassan Jones
Hassan Ameer Jones (born July 2, 1964) is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver for either seasons in the National Football League (NFL) from 1986 to 1993. He played college football for the Florida State Seminoles and was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the fifth round of the 1986 NFL draft. Jones played for the Clearwater High School Tornadoes. A wide receiver (WR), also referred to as a wideout, and historically known as a split end (SE) or flanker (FL), is an eligible receiver in gridiron football. The 1993 NFL season was the 74th regular season of the National Football League (NFL). It was the only season in league history where all NFL teams were originally scheduled to play their 16-game schedule over a span of 18 weeks and did so (the league again played 16 games over 18 weeks in , but this was caused by the postponement of a week of games due to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks), where all of the Week 2 scheduled games were moved to an 18th week and the entire postseason was delayed by 7 days before starting). 1992 Minnesota Vikings Season
The 1992 season was the Minnesota Vikings' 32nd in the National Football League (NFL), and their first under head coach Dennis Green. They finished with an 11–5 record to claim the NFC Central division title and returned to the playoffs after a two-year absence. They met the defending Super Bowl champion Washington Redskins in the wildcard round, the teams' first playoff meeting since victory for the Redskins in the 1987 NFC Championship game; the Redskins won again this time, 24–7. Due to the damage caused by Hurricane Andrew, the New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins game that was scheduled for September 6 at Joe Robbie Stadium was rescheduled to October 18. 1991 Minnesota Vikings Season
The 1991 season was the Minnesota Vikings' 31st in the National Football League. They finished with an 8–8 record, improving on their 6–10 record from the previous season, but missed the playoffs for the second straight year. Head coach Jerry Burns retired at the end of the season. Herschel Walker, going into his third year with Minnesota, went through another season of frustration and he was released following the season. The 1990 NFL season, 1990 season was the Minnesota Vikings' 30th in the National Football League. The 1989 season was the Minnesota Vikings' 29th in the National Football League (NFL). They finished with a 10–6 record to win the NFC Central Division. This title was secured during one of what is considered by many to be among the most exciting '' Monday Night Football'' contests ever: a Christmas Day victory over the Cincinnati Bengals at home, at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome, which was the ''de facto'' first playoff game of the year.
