Hartpury University Football Club is a football club based in Hartpury, England, and is the football team of the Hartpury College. They are currently members of the and play at Hartpury College. History In 2020, Hartpury College formed and entered Hartpury University into the Hellenic League Division Two North. In 2022, following a successful season in the Herefordshire FA County League, the club was admitted into the Hellenic League Division One. Having finished second in their first year at the level, losing the play-off final on penalties, the 2023–24 season saw the club promoted as champions. Hartpury University Stadium
Hartpury is a civil parish in Gloucestershire, England. It has an area of about , about 270 homes and a population of about 700 people, increasing to 1,642 at the 2011 census. The village is about north of Gloucester. Geographically the parish is in Leadon Vale; administratively it is in the Forest of Dean. The Hartpury University and Hartpury College campus is based in the village. Governance An electoral ward in the same name exists. This ward runs north to Corse. The total ward population at the 2011 census was 2,496. Architecture The village has several interesting buildings including the former home of the Canning family, Hartpury House, now part of the college. Hill House, also known as The Hill, is a large timber-framed house which contains a sixteenth-century oak staircase and several plaster ceilings of the same period. Hartpury University and Hartpury College, formerly Hartpury College, is a provider of further and higher education which describes itself as specialising in the "agriculture, animal, equine, sport and veterinary nursing" sectors. The university and college is set in a 360-hectare estate located in Hartpury, near Gloucester, in Gloucestershire, England. The 2023–24 Hellenic Football League season is the 71st in the history of the Hellenic Football League, a football competition in England. The league operates two divisions, the Premier Division at Step 5 and Division One at Step 6. The allocations for Steps 5 and 6 this season were announced by The Football Association on 15 May 2023. Beginning from this season, a four team play-off system was introduced at Step 5 (Premier Division) to guarantee a second promotion place to Step 4, replacing the inter-step play-off. The Herefordshire Football League, known for sponsorship purposes as ZZOOMM Herefordshire Football League, is an association football competition based in Herefordshire. It also features some clubs from surrounding counties, including Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Shropshire. The Senior Cup, was formed in 1951 when Ansells Brewery presented Herefordshire FA with the trophy. In the early days the Senior cup became an annual invitation Final. The final often varied in the early years between being a two legged affair or a single match. The Football Association Challenge Vase, usually referred to as the FA Vase, is an annual football competition for teams playing in Steps 5 and 6 of the English National League System (or equivalently, tier 9 or 10 of the overall English football league system).
