Angela Maria Hartnett (born September 1968) is an English Michelin-starred chef. A protégée of Gordon Ramsay who became well known by her appearances on British television, she was Chef-Patron at Angela Hartnett at The Connaught in London. Gabby Hartnett
Charles Leo "Gabby" Hartnett (December 20, 1900 – December 20, 1972), nicknamed "Old Tomato Face", was an American professional baseball player and manager. He played almost his entire career in Major League Baseball as a catcher with the Chicago Cubs, from 1922 to 1940. He spent the final season of his career as a player-coach with the New York Giants in 1941. After his playing career, Hartnett continued his involvement in baseball as a coach and as a minor league manager. Hartnett was an all-around player, performing well both offensively and defensively. Known for his strong and accurate throwing arm, he routinely led the National League's catchers in caught stealing percentage and was the first major league catcher to hit more than 20 home runs in a season. Jimmy Hartnett
James Benedict Hartnett (21 March 1927 – 31 May 1988) was an Irish professional footballer who played in the Football League for Middlesbrough, Hartlepools United and York City as an outside left. He was capped by the Republic of Ireland at international level and represented the League of Ireland XI. International career Hartnett won two caps for the Republic of Ireland national football team and made his debut on 12 June 1949 in a 4–1 friendly defeat to Spain at Dalymount Park. His second and final cap did not come until five years later, when he played in a 1–0 win over Luxembourg in a World Cup qualifying game on 7 March 1954 at the Municipal Stadium, Luxembourg City. Kevin Hartnett (born 4 June 1984) is an Irish hurler who played as a left wing-back for the Cork senior team. Hartnett joined the team during the 2005 National Hurling League and was a regular member of the team until he left the panel after the 2008 championship. During that time he won one All-Ireland medal and two Munster medals as a non-playing substitute. At club level Hartnett has played with Russell Rovers, divisional side Imokilly and University College Cork. Sir Laurence John Hartnett CBE (26 May 18984 April 1986) was an engineer who made several important contributions to the Australian automotive industry, and is often called "The Father of the Holden". Childhood Hartnett was born into a middle-class family in Woking, England. His mother, Katherine Jane Taplin, was the daughter of Wiltshire farmer George Taplin and his wife Kate. His father, Irish born John Joseph Hartnett, was a doctor and inventor of patent medicines from Clonakilty, County Cork, who had an M.D. from Dublin and in 1892 had published a pamphlet on the treatment of tuberculosis. Michael Hartnett ( ga, Mícheál Ó hAirtnéide) (18 September 1941 – 13 October 1999) was an Irish poet who wrote in both English and Irish. He was one of the most significant voices in late 20th-century Irish writing and has been called "Munster's de facto poet laureate". Early life and background Michael Harnett was born in Croom Hospital, County Limerick. Although his parents' name was Harnett, he was registered in error as Hartnett on his birth certificate. In later life he declined to change this as his legal name was closer to the Irish Ó hAirtnéide. He grew up in the Maiden Street area of Newcastle West, Co. Sonya Louise Hartnett (born 1968) is an Australian author of fiction for adults, young adults, and children. She has been called "the finest Australian writer of her generation". For her career contribution to "children's and young adult literature in the broadest sense" Hartnett won the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award from the Swedish Arts Council in 2008, the biggest prize in children's literature.
