Hartha SC
Hartha Sports Club () is a Jordanian football club based in Al-Karafat, Jordan. It currently competes in the Jordanian Second Division League, the third tier of Football in Jordan, Jordanian football. History Hartha SC hosts a variety of sports teams, including football, but also has a rich history with women's handball. On 6 July 2009, Shaman Obeidat resigned as Hartha manager, after the loss his team had suffered against Al-Sheikh Hussein SC, Al-Sheikh Hussein in the Jordanian Second Division League. On 3 November 2015, Hartha appointed former player Thabet Obeidat as manager of the club. During the 2017 Jordanian Second Division League season, Hartha's President Mahmoud Obaidat encouraged fans of Hartha SC to support the club, especially as the team had the least financial support among the league. Jordanian Second Division League
The Jordanian Second Division League () is a football league that is the third tier of the Jordanian football league system. Al-Tura are the most recent champions in the 2024 season. Format The league consists of 16 teams divided into two groups. The first and second placed teams in each group qualify to the semi-finals, in a two-legged tie. The winner and runner-up are directly promoted to the Jordanian First Division League. The bottom two clubs are relegated to the Jordanian Third Division League. 2023 Jordanian Second Division League
The 2023 Jordanian Second Division League started on 7 September 2023 and concluded on 24 November 2023. The league featured 10 teams from the 2023 campaign, two new teams relegated from the 2023 Division 1: Al-Turra and Alia, and three new teams promoted from the 2023 Jordanian Third Division: Arhaba, Shabab Hauran and Shabab Um Al-Sarab. Doqarah won the league title, but had originally been handed relegation to the Third Division League by the Jordan Football Association. Al-Karmel was promoted to 2024 Jordanian First Division League along with Jerash. Bala'ama, Marj Al-Hamam and Wadi Al-Rayan also got relegated to the Third Division League. The sport of football in the country of Jordan is run by the Jordan Football Association. The association administers the national football team as well as the Jordan League. History Football in Jordan was introduced during the time of the Ottoman Empire, when Jordan/ Transjordan was part of that empire. Similar to many countries in the world, Jordan (as part of Ottoman Empire) enjoyed their first football development brought by British sailors and merchants; however under autocratic rule of Abdul Hamid II, football was forbidden and it was not until 1908 that football became popular. Jordanian Pro League
The Jordanian Pro League () is a Jordanian professional league for men's football clubs and represents the top flight of Jordanian football. The championship consists of twelve competing teams in a home and away league system. The league was not held in the years: 1948, 1953, 1957, 1958, 1967, 1968, 1969, and not finished in 1998. In 2002, the league changed calendar to a fall spring season, and in 2020 the league returned to a spring fall season. From the 2023-24 season, the Jordan Football Association, JFA decided to return to the fall spring calendar to match the date of the league with the Asian championships. Al-Faisaly Sports Club () is a Jordanian professional football club based in Amman. Founded in 1932, the club competes in the Jordanian Pro League, the top flight of Jordanian football. Nicknamed "the Blue Eagles", they were founded as Al-Ashbal Club in 1932.
