Harshita Swami Baghel (born 1987) is an Indian politician from Chhattisgarh. She is an MLA from Dongargarh Assembly constituency, which is reserved for Scheduled Caste community, in Rajnandgaon district. She won the 2023 Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly election representing the Indian National Congress. Early life and education Baghel is from Dongargarh, Rajnandgaon district, Chhattisgarh. She married Manish Baghel, a government medical officer. She completed her M.A. and L.L.B. in 2019 at Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur. Career Baghel won from Dongargarh Assembly constituency representing the Indian National Congress in the 2023 Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly election. 2023 Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Election
Legislative Assembly elections were held in Chhattisgarh in two phases on 2023 elections in India, 7 November and 17 November 2023 to elect all List of constituencies of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, 90 members of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly. The votes were counted and the results declared on 3 December 2023. Defying all pollsters and predictions, the BJP won an absolute majority with 54 seats, wresting power from the Indian National Congress, INC, which had won a landslide in 2018 Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly election, 2018 but could win only 35 seats. Dongargarh is a town and municipality in Rajnandgaon District in the state of Chhattisgarh, India and the site of the Bambleshwari Temple and Chandragiri Jain Temple. A prominent pilgrim destination in Rajnandgaon District, the city lies about west from Rajnandgaon, west from Durg and east from Bhandara which are situated on National Highway 6.
