Spittal an der Drau is a town in the western part of the Austrian federal state of Carinthia (state), Carinthia. It is the administrative centre of Spittal an der Drau District, Austria's second largest district (''Districts of Austria, Bezirk'') by area. Geography The town is located on the southern slopes of the Gurktal Alps (Nock Mountains), between the Lurnfeld Basin and the Lower Drau Valley. He won 36 career singles titles, including the 1975 US Open, defeating defending champion Jimmy Connors in the final. Orantes reached a career-high singles ranking of world No. 2. Ángel Giménez
Ángel Giménez (born 10 October 1955) is a former professional tennis player from Spain. Career Giménez twice made the second round in the singles draw of a Grand Slam, both times in 1981. At the French Open he defeated Bolivian Mario Martinez, before losing to Paul Torre. Then at Wimbledon that year he had a win over Jörgen Windahl and was then beaten by Andrew Pattison in five sets. His best doubles performance came in the 1981 French Open, when he and Ricardo Cano reached the third round. He never competed in the Australian Open or US Open. He won two titles on the Grand Prix tennis circuit, at Vienna in 1980 and then the British Hard Court Championships later that year. As a doubles player he reached three finals, but lost them all. The Argentina Open or Abierto Argentino is an annual ATP men's tennis event held in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The tournament is listed as an ATP 250 on the ATP Tour, and is played on outdoor clay courts at the 5,500 capacity Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis Club, in the Palermo ''barrio'' (neighborhood). John Lloyd (born 27 August 1954) is a British former professional tennis player. Lloyd reached an Association of Tennis Professionals, ATP world ranking of 23 in July 1978, and was ranked as UK number 1 in 1984 and 1985. He now works as a tennis commentator. During his career, he reached one Grand Slam (tennis), Grand Slam singles final – losing to Vitas Gerulaitis in the 1977 Australian Open. David Alan Lloyd (born 3 January 1948) is an English former professional tennis player and entrepreneur. He founded the fitness and leisure business David Lloyd Leisure in 1982. He was born in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex. He and his younger brother John Lloyd became two of the most successful British tennis players throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Scandinavian Indoor Championships
The Scandinavian Indoor Championships also known as the Scandinavian Covered Court Championships and the Scandinavian Indoor Open was a combined men's and women's tennis tournament held from 1936 through 1979. History The tournament was created to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Swedish Lawn Tennis Association and was first held on the indoor courts of the B-Hall in Stockholm. The location of the tournament alternated between the four Scandinavian capitals Copenhagen, Helsinki, Stockholm and Oslo and the event was usually held at the end of January or the beginning of February. The competitors were mainly European players. The tournament struggled in Open Era, the mixed doubles event was cancelled in 1971, and the championships were abolished in 1979.
