Ángel Giménez
Ángel Giménez (born 10 October 1955) is a former professional tennis player from Spain. Career Giménez twice made the second round in the singles draw of a Grand Slam, both times in 1981. At the French Open he defeated Bolivian Mario Martinez, before losing to Paul Torre. Then at Wimbledon that year he had a win over Jörgen Windahl and was then beaten by Andrew Pattison in five sets. His best doubles performance came in the 1981 French Open, when he and Ricardo Cano reached the third round. He never competed in the Australian Open or US Open. He won two titles on the Grand Prix tennis circuit, at Vienna in 1980 and then the British Hard Court Championships later that year. As a doubles player he reached three finals, but lost them all. He had one of the best wins of his career in 1981 when he defeated Vitas Gerulaitis at Hamburg. In the Davis Cup, Giménez took part in seven ties for Spain, from 1976 to 1982. Manuel Orantes Corral (; born 6 February 1949) is a Spanish former professional tennis player. He won 36 career singles titles, including the 1975 US Open, defeating defending champion Jimmy Connors in the final. Orantes reached a career-high singles ranking of world No. 2. Career On 7 September 1975 Orantes defeated top-seeded Jimmy Connors in the final of the US Open at Forest Hills, New York to win his only Grand Slam title. Shlomo Glickstein
Shlomo Glickstein (; born 6 January 1958) is an Israeli former professional tennis player. He reached his career-high singles ranking of World No. 22 in November 1982, and his career-high doubles ranking of World No. 28 in February 1986. Early and personal life Glickstein was born in Rehovot, Israel, lives in Ashkelon, Israel, and is Jewish. His parents immigrated to Israel from Poland. He served in the Israel Defense Forces for three years, from the ages of 18 to 21, rising to the rank of sergeant. Tennis career In 1980, Glickstein defeated World No. 35 Raúl Ramírez in the first round at Wimbledon. He lost to Björn Borg (the eventual tournament winner) in the second round, but won the Wimbledon Plate in a consolation tournament. Tomáš Šmíd
Tomáš Šmíd (born 20 May 1956) is a former tennis player from Czechoslovakia, who won nine singles titles during his career. In doubles, he won 54 titles and was world No. 1 in doubles from December 17, 1984, to August 11, 1985. The right-hander reached his highest ATP singles ranking of world No. 11 in July 1984. Šmíd participated in 31 Davis Cup ties for Czechoslovakia from 1977 to 1989, posting a 20–10 record in doubles and a 22–15 record in singles. Šmíd was a part of the winning 1980 Davis Cup team, a team which included Ivan Lendl. Daniela Hantuchová (; born 23 April 1983) is a Slovak tennis commentator and retired player. She turned professional in 1999 and had her breakthrough year in 2002, when she won her first WTA Tour title at the Indian Wells Open, defeating Martina Hingis in the final and becoming the lowest-ranked player to ever win the tournament.
