Tom Hanneman
Tom Hanneman (June 29, 1952 – December 18, 2020) was an American play-by-play television announcer for the Minnesota Timberwolves basketball team of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and had been with the franchise since its inception in 1989 until he joined Fox Sports North in 2012. Prior to that, Hanneman was a sports and general assignment reporter for CBS affiliate WCCO-TV in Minneapolis, Minnesota. During his time at WCCO, Hanneman drew national attention when he was held hostage while covering the 1979 Red Lake Indian Reservation uprising. His time as a Timberwolves commentator also led to him doing some national and international NBA broadcasts. Tom Hanneman died on December 18, 2020. He was 68 years old at the time of his death. Jeffrey John Hanneman (January 31, 1964 – May 2, 2013) was an American musician, best known as a founding member and co-lead guitarist of the thrash metal band Slayer. Hanneman composed both music and lyrics for every Slayer album until his death in 2013. Born in 1964 in Long Beach, California, Hanneman listened to heavy metal and hardcore punk in his childhood and adolescence. He was working as a telemarketer in 1981 when he met Kerry King, with whom he founded Slayer. Craig Lewis Hanneman (born July 1, 1949) is an American former professional football player who was a defensive lineman in the National Football League (NFL) from 1972 to 1975. He played college football for the Oregon State Beavers and played for two NFL teams in 52 games over gour seasons. Following his NFL career, Hanneman returned to Oregon where he worked as the Government Affairs Manager for Willamette Industries and later as the President of the Oregon Forest Industries Council.
