Elizabeth Cuthill
Elizabeth Hahnemann Cuthill (October 16, 1923 – January 11, 2011) was an American applied mathematics, applied mathematician and numerical analysis, numerical analyst known for her work on sparse matrix algorithms, on block iterative methods for the numerical approximation of differential equations, and on the development of computer simulations of nuclear reactors. She was a researcher for the United States Navy at the David Taylor Model Basin. The Cuthill–McKee algorithm and reverse Cuthill–McKee algorithm are heuristics for permuting matrices into forms with small Band matrix, bandwidth and for associated problems in graph bandwidth, named for the work of Cuthill with James McKee. Frederick Hahneman
Frederick William Hahneman (July 5, 1922 – December 17, 1991) was a Honduras-born U.S. citizen convicted of hijacking Eastern Air Lines Flight 175 on May 5, 1972. The flight—scheduled from Allentown, Pennsylvania, to Miami, Florida, with a stop in Washington, D.C.—was hijacked by Hahneman. The hijacked plane landed twice in Washington, D.C., then once in New Orleans, where a change of planes was made due to a mechanical issue. The new plane was then flown into Honduran airspace, as demanded by Hahneman. Hahneman parachuted from the plane over his native Honduras after extorting $303,000 from Eastern Air Lines. Evading an FBI and Honduran police manhunt and with a $25,000 bounty placed on him, Hahneman remained on the run for 28 days before finally surrendering to the U.S. embassy in Tegucigalpa. Helga Hahnemann
Helga "Big Helga" Hahnemann (8 September 1937 - 20 November 1991) was an East Germany, East German multi-faceted stage performer and entertainer. She came to wider prominence through her television and radio appearances after 1962. By the time German reunification, reunification arrived in 1990 she had become a leading star of the small screen in East Germany. She fell terminally ill and then died shortly afterwards, possibly because of the extent of her addiction to cigarettes: she was 54. Her death left unanswered the question of how successfully her performances might have captivated pan-German television audiences post unification. Marcus Stephen Hahnemann (born June 15, 1972) is an American former professional soccer player who played as a goalkeeper. Graduating out of Seattle Pacific University, he played for the Seattle Sounders between 1994 and 1996. Between 1997 and 1999 he turned out for the Colorado Rapids, signing with English club Fulham in 1999. Unable to become the first-choice goalkeeper at Fulham, he enjoyed loan spells with Rochdale and Reading, before signing permanently with Reading in 2002. In 2009, following 276 league appearances for the club, he transferred to Wolverhampton Wanderers. Mélanie Hahnemann
Marie Mélanie d'Hervilly Gohier Hahnemann (Bruxelles, 2 February 1800 – Paris, 27 May 1878) was a French homeopathic physician, married in 1835 to Samuel Hahnemann. She was the first female homeopathic physician. Mélanie d'Hervilly was reportedly a member of a noble family, but because of domestic violence she lived with the family of her art teacher Guillaume Guillon-Lethière in Paris from 1815 and made a living by selling her paintings. She received the surname Gohier as the posthumously adopted daughter of Louis-Jérôme Gohier, who had been president of the French Directory until 9 November 1799 (18 Brumaire VIII), when it was overthrown by Napoleon in the coup of 18 Brumaire. When he died in 1830 he named the then 30-year-old Mélanie d'Hervilly, 54 years younger, as his heir. Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann ( , ; 10 April 1755 – 2 July 1843) was a German physician, best known for creating the pseudoscientific system of alternative medicine called homeopathy. Early life Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann was born in Meissen, Electorate of Saxony, Saxony, near Dresden. His father, Christian Gottfried Hahnemann, was a painter and designer of porcelain, for which the town of Meissen is famous. As a young man, Hahnemann became proficient in a number of languages, including English, French, Italian, Greek and Latin. Wilhelm 'Willi' Hahnemann (14 April 1914 – 23 August 1991) was an Austrian and German football player who started his career at Admira Vienna. Hahnemann Medical College of the Pacific was a Homeopathy, homeopathic medical school in San Francisco, California. It was established in 1881 as Hahnemann Medical College, with the first graduating class in 1884. During the period of 1888–1902, it was known as Hahnemann Hospital College of San Francisco. Its last name change, 1902–1915, was to Hahnemann Medical College of the Pacific.
