Carol Hanisch
Carol Hanisch (born 1942) is an American radical feminist activist. She was an important member of New York Radical Women and Redstockings. She is best known for popularizing the phrase " the personal is political" in a 1970 essay of the same name. She does not take responsibility of the phrase, stating in her 2006 updated essay, with a new introduction, that did not name it that, or in fact use it in the essay at all. Instead she claims that the title was done by the editors of ''Notes from the Second Year: Women's Liberation'' (where it was published), Shulamith Firestone and Anne Koedt. She also conceived the 1968 Miss America protest and was one of the four women who hung a women's liberation banner over the balcony at the Miss America Pageant, disrupting the proceedings. Cornelia Hanisch (; born 12 June 1952) is a retired German fencer. She won a gold medal in the team foil and a silver in the individual foil at the 1984 Summer Olympics. Between 1977 and 1985, she won ten medals in the foil at world championships, including four gold medals. Reinhold Hanisch
Reinhold Hanisch (27 January 1884, Bohemia – February 1937, Vienna) was an Austrian migrant worker and occasional business partner of the young Adolf Hitler. Hanisch, who published numerous articles on Hitler and who had lived with him in 1910, is one of the few witnesses to Hitler's Vienna years alongside August Kubizek. Early years (1884–1911) Hanisch attended elementary school in his homeland. He descended from a low nobility family but his parents became poor and decadent. Despite his aristocratic ancestors, he hired himself out as a casual laborer and house servant. Hanisch was imprisoned in Berlin three months in 1907 for theft, and in 1908, was sentenced to six months in prison. In the autumn of 1909, he came to Vienna, where he was employed as a servant. Theodor "Ted" Hanisch (born 20 April 1947) is a Norwegian sociologist, civil servant and politician for the Labour Party. He was born in Tønsberg. He graduated with the mag.art. degree (PhD equivalent) in sociology, and was a director at the Norwegian Institute for Social Research from 1978. In 1986, when the second cabinet Brundtland assumed office, he resigned to become a State Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister. He lost this job in 1989, when the second cabinet Brundtland fell. Wolfgang Hanisch (born 6 March 1951 in Großkorbetha, Sachsen-Anhalt) was an East German athlete who mainly competed in the javelin throw. Hanisch had a long and successful international career competing for East Germany. He medalled in three consecutive editions of the European Athletics Championships, in Helsinki 1971, Rome 1974 and Prague 1978. His only Olympic appearance was the 1980 Summer Olympics held in Moscow, Soviet Union; there too, Hanisch was successful, winning the javelin bronze medal with a throw of 86.72 metres. However, gold in major meets eluded Hanisch. His most notable victory was in the 1979 IAAF World Cup in Montreal, Canada, when he brought the East German team the full points with a throw of 86.48.
